Can you maybe record one of your practice sessions with the worship group? At my church we recently got a few girls who wanted to join the choir and......they still need some work 😅 just wanted to know what you guys do. I’d really appreciate it! I looooove your videos!!!!!!!!!! They are always super helpful!!

Hey Sarai! Our rehearsals are typically closed, but just a small insight into how we prepare for the weekends. First, we have an audition process as we want everyone who joins the team to meet a certain expectation musically. If they're not ready, we give them specific things to work on and encourage them to audition again in the future once they've strengthened those things. For everyone who makes the team, we actually only have a run through before service on the day-of. To make that work, we give them the set lists more than a week ahead of time, they're expected to prepare their parts throughout the week, so that when everyone shows up on the day of service, it's mainly putting everything together. Which is why I started making these!! I wanted to give resources ahead of time so that they feel solid when they come in. Beyond that we also send out "rehearsal notes," which includes all the details of the songs, how we're transitioning, etc. All that to say, we try to do everything we can behind the scenes to make sure that our people feel confident and ready, and that it's as easy as possible for them.
