I find it very interesting to hear about the vendors perspective. My wife has a Vintage Shop but we live in France and its very informative to learn how it goes for the US. I understand if numbers are not something you would like to talk about but I think there's people (Like us) that don't know about Thriftcon expenses, that would find it interesting. Anyways, we always watch your videos and we like seeing how you setup and stuff so keep up the good work!

so interesting to hear SO many vendors share their experiences and they all seem to be the same! disappointing and just lackluster experience overall. hopefully denver & future thriftcons turn around! i’m a reseller in houston as well and have always debated doing thriftcon, but now i feel like i won’t unless i hear some better vendor feedback hahaha.

If you are in Houston I would still 100% recommend the Houston Thriftcon because I would highly doubt that you can lose money at that event because the expenses should be the lowest! But when we travel out of state the expenses just go way up 😅

In order to be successful at thrift con, you need to be selling grails well below market value... You are primarily selling to other resellers with bigger accounts. Mids aren't gonna cut it at this type of event

but realistically, how much profit are people who sell grails below market making? sure they probably get good deals on bundles here and there, but I don't feel like that's a sustainable strategy. it's pretty sad if you have to spend the day selling to re sellers. I think having a niche and good marketing will help you grow in the long run, even if you have days like this once in a while.

@@capslock4959 I agree with your input. However, with so much competition at this type of event, it's difficult to truly stand out. Presentation, marketing, networking, and positive energy/vibes will definitely help. I think if you stay in your own lane and curate a niche selection your giving yourself a great chance at being successful.

Where do you guys get your racks from?

you can literally find these anywhere, amazon etc....they're just plumbing pipes that are pre fabricated to make into clothing racks.

Listen I’m from here and you just didn’t have what the people want. Everything you had is easily accessible and cheap to get in Atl and people don’t dress like that here for real.
