Thank you for being honest about the Colorism that goes on in the DR. I have heard how most Dominicans denounce being black and now with Amara La Negra being a famous Domincan, it has now been brought to the forefront. Also, loved that Randy says that he does not care what people think about him!

You must understand, the people of Hispanic America reject the one drop rule that the English installed in their colonies in North America and the Caribbean. However, colorism is a major in the Caribbean, North America, and especially areas that have a high amount of African descendants.

This is awesome. It’s funny because when I first looked at you both I immediately said black. Now, people may be wondering how? Well I’m from New Orleans. So the French. and Spaniards colonized Louisiana. You guys are a wonderful couple. You both look like my family too. In New Orleans, we just identify with Black. Other people say we are creole. We don’t deny it, but just identify with Black/African American. My ancestry was very similar where I have Cameroon, Benin, England, Mali, France, Spain, Italy, and they even said that my ancestors were from the Louisiana creoles, and African Americans. That’s the only place in the US that my people were from. Super accurate on that. Gorgeous couple. People always think that I’m Dominican.

I guessed a mix of European and African for both of you but after that it could be so many nations! That mix is found everywhere around the Mediterranean and the Middle East and then so much of North, Central and South America including of course the Caribbean. So no wonder people place you all over the world! The Native American of course then places you firmly in the Americas. I would say the beautiful woman looks more obviously Latina while the gentleman could indeed be Brazilian or Iranian 😄

I tried Ancestry DNA and 23andMe. Somethings my DNA results lined up right with; I'm Black American, but I have Native American, Spanish, African, and Irish background I'm aware of. My mother's side of the family have been living in the Houston Texas area since Texas was Mexico, Republic of Texas, and New Spain. I can speak, read, and write Spanish and English. My Spanish Family came from Barcelona Spain to Texas. While living in the Houston Texas area they were documented later as Mexican while Texas was Mexico and also white when Texas joined the U.S. My DNA pulled up 2% Iberian Peninsula and 8% Native American in which was located in the area where Mexico is located (Aztec). I'm also Cherokee and Choctaw in which the region where those tribes were in the Mid-Eastern part of the U.S. was highlighted also. I knew about the Irish also in which was 4% then it turn to a different percentage along with Scottish, Irish, British, French, German, Norwegian, and an Asian country all being a percentage that added up to 15%. The rest were countries in Africa my 46% Nigerian changed to under 15% along with other African Nations that were first posted in which Ivory West Cost took the lead, and I also have Hunter Gatherer in there too. Overall somethings surprised me but I did know of my family's history before taking the test through being told by elders, pictures, legal documents, and recorded family tree history. I think your results are awesome, and you two resemble the background in which your from. Qué tengas un buen día a hoy, y mucho más días de bendiciones en tus futuro 💃

The African ones changed because the Bantus are an ethnic group found in southern, central & west Africa. Bantu’s were Hunter gatherers hence the migration pattern! You results didn’t change, they just became more specific to what it would be right now. I hope you both explore all your new found heritage !! Xx

Khoi and San are considered hunter gatherers and I think the Bantu’s are agriculturalists. They later intermingled during the Bantu migration. Do not take my word for it, please do your own research for I could be wrong. I am not a historian.

I saw the Asian in your wife which Im sure came from her native american. I thought husband had some French background. I guessed you both were Louisiana Creoles. I could tell you guys were mixed just like me. My ancestry broke down my Cameroon Congo and African heritage but My Heritage DNA lumped the african as Nigerian. My heritage had me with a huge amount of Spanish Portugese and didnt say anything about me being English, Scottish Or Irish which I know I am from family and from Ancestry DNA.
