He would be better off with just one amp. Both amps sounded great until he blended them together which resulted in a net loss. I get that combining stuff together is fun but it rarely ever sounds good.

That's a good one. But, I really do understand, a bit, why they had to change up . I too, was getting a bit burned out with the same old as I had watched D&M since the first show. It was perfect timing for me, it was time that the show delved into other parts of the rig. I loved it all, cheers!

@@danolivier4899 to be honest, the pedalboard thing scares me way more than it should. I know that building an effective pedalboard is really about creating an effective rig. I think I have it, but then the next, " it" pedal hits the arena and I'm tone hunting again. I need to get to a point of NoMore Gear Whore before I'm ready!

Everyone is rightfully freaking out about this episode, and it is truly a culmination of everything we have all learned since the show’s introduction. However, what brings me so much joy is that you’re both driven to this amazing gear by the joy of gigging (after a very long time of no live playing), i.e., the basis of all our time spent on this channel. You guys remind me the simple joy of being a gigging guitarist (and a loud one at that) every week. Cheers

Wow. What a way to go out on hiatus. This was the pinnacle of the TPS journey so far. Each of you built a rig that played to his strengths and tastes, covered immense ground and provided every type of sound the gig needed. All the concepts that have been discussed over the last few years - applied to perfection (and in a very different, personal way for each of you) to get you where you need to be. From now on, if I have to explain TPS to a friend and why so many people love it so much, all I have to do is point to this episode. Enjoy the time off, we’ll be here replaying this in the mean time. Bravo!

Multiple follow up thoughts after this one: - Paul Davids has done a great video on the ‘Message in a Bottle’ harmony of anyone wants to learn it - Mick, your gainy tones on that strat are insane - That massive 12 string gains are giving my wallet palpitations. Not sure i’d ever get opportunity to make those noises in my context but wow! - HRM is now on the need to buy list - Dan’s soundscaping is majestic - Need to revisit my chorus options, I think I’m being too heavy handed with it - I need a gold top! Not sure if humbuggies, P90s or even Filtertrons but I need a mahogany single cut in gold! Having watched the EV episode recently, I have a level of intrigue as to how one would sound in my Laney, or even how could an emulation Two Notes have one for my silent rig Killer show gents, thank you both

There have been many great episodes of TPS over the years -- seen them all I think -- may have missed one Q&A ... This episode is definately, one of the best - I have now watched it 3 times! - huge new learnings Those Sounds are amonge the best I have heard from any guitar on KZread -- totally inspirational and I am starting to look at rigs n strats in a different way - I thank you 💛

That neck pickup on Mick's gold top Less Paul is something else. It's such a great balance of warmth and articulation. I've always struggled with neck positions on humbucker guitars. They're either too wooly and dark, or too hot to work with my gain stages setup for my single coils. Dan's nods as his pads come together are so much fun. I love it when Dan gets ambient and spacey. You can see how much fun he's having. Enjoy your vacation guys. We appreciate you!

I can listen to your beautiful playing and pedal tones all day but hearing an iconic riff and solo like Owner of a Broken Heart made the all the pedal talk focus. I have some of these pedals but never would've known how to put them together to make that sound. If the licence will allow, please do more, love the show.

Hello Boys, I just had to say that you don’t know how happy it makes me to hear the amplifier humming and making noise in the beginning of this video. Usually, I don’t notice it in KZread videos and then when I turn my own amp on, I am disappointment. You have excellent equipment and your Amp still hums. God bless it.

I posted last October test my daughter sat with me watching TPS on the day she was born, 9 months on and she screams the place down until I put TPS on when she just sits quietly chilling out and watching the show. Thanks for the long distance child care.

I think it’s also true to say that there is a whole lot of genius in the folks that made these songs in the first place when you consider the work that has to go in to get in the ball park.
