I remember when Tomer assembling Kaldra for the first time was such a glorious moment where the others just went "That's it?" Then Tomer's goal was to win with Kaldra and now it's just a meme in the Commander Clash playgroup.

For monowhite spell slinger I thought Seth was going to mentioned this but he didn't so I will: Leonin Lightscribe. 2 mana 2/2 from Strixhaven that has Magecraft-- Creatures you control get +1/+1 until end of turn. Pump your team and swing out.

I had a bucket list combo that I finally got to pull off. Infinite land drops on my opponent’s upkeep. Ghost town, any other creatures that let you tap to put lands in play instant speed, retreat to coralheim, and retreat to hagra.

You can use it as an alt-wincon with Barren Glory

It seems like everyone forgets Richard winning with Barren Glory with Atoatog from one of the episodes where someone else made their decks

Opposition Agent is a great backup Ashiok for the Hive Mind Doomsday combo. It's not a planeswalker and it has flash, it's a little less brittle than Ashiok. Plus you can pick a different way to win from your opponents' decks.

Hedron Alignment -- Even getting your opponent's on the battlefield doesn't count. It still has to be one you "own", not just "control".

I would actually love to see an MLD-themed week where everyone tries to run some kind of MLD tech while trying to play around MLD.

I have a very similar bucket list that I include in every commander deck with green. Stone-Seeder Hierophant, Amulet of Vigor, and Thawing Glaciers! If you get these out, you can pull out EVERY SINGLE basic land from your deck! Best part is that it doesn't even eat up all of your mana.

Finally the card I've first cut from every green deck can be useful with one of my favorite lands ( :

Nothing I want to do in a game of Commander but one thing I have always wanted was a Commander Cube. Using Commander Legends drafting rules I finally started...but with a twist. You also start with a Sol Ring, Command Tower, Commander Sphere and two Prismatic pipers in your pool . Also I used banned cards and it is a Power Cube. Can't wait to draft it with friends over the holidays!

@@xZuunes my comment keeps vanishing. Guess they have it set up for review. Hopefully they post what I tried to post like 8 times. It can hold 16 players for draft and 8 sealed. It was a template but then I made it what I wanted but i still tries to keep the archetypes intact.

Opalescence combo for Crim: Play Modern Horizon 2's Out of Time with Opalescence on the field. Out of Time enters the battlefield as a creature and phases itself out. Because it phases out it never gets its time counters removed and it never leaves the battlefield, so everybody's creatures are just phased out forever and no one can return Commanders to the command zone. Combine with Enchanted Evening to phase out everything!

I ran this in a sif deck. Never pulled it off though

I got a few: Take an extra turn with Seedtime. Haven't managed to do that yet. Never drawn it against blue decks. Combine Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth with Stern Judge in a lifegain deck to make everyone lose from their lands.

This one's for Crim. My fav thing to do with Opalescence is to exile all opponents creatures forever with Parallax Wave and funky timing things, but you can also use this to save several of your creatures in a pinch. Like even just exiling the opalescence with the Parallax wave and leaving it at 0 fade counters, then get it back at your upkeep when you have to sac the Parallax Wave.

@MTGGoldfish Commander Just to pass along to Crim, one great deck for Starfield/Opalescence is Ghen, Arcanum Weaver. You turn your enchantments into creatures and use them to basically fuel an aristocrats deck, saccing them to recur other enchantments while triggering your aristocrats (some of which are enchantments) and creature etbs simultaneously. Its really fun and can be pretty fast depending on opponent's interaction.

Hopes for Edh's future - color pie bends for mono colored decks (i love chaos warp, pongify, feed the swarm, etc; they should be more taxing in pips) ex. White rampant growth, WW, you get a Plains, target oppo gets a treasure, call it land buyout or something - effects that encourage mono-colored and/or high cmc commanders - more Richard style decks in the wild

Nature's Revolt(or Living Plane) + Titania's Song(or March of the Machines) + Humility + Night of Souls' Betryal(or Ethereal Absolution) ... + suppresion field to "turn off" Planeswalkers ... the first 3 pieces I actually did irl in Estrid Opalescence + Out of time to Phase out every commander FOREVER Exile all opponent's permanents, hands, libraries... but with an Abyssal Persecutor in play

I think one of the most important cards to talk about with the opalescence/star field of nyx (49:00) is parallax wave. The amount of protection it provides makes it pretty much necessary imo.

I have your answer Richard and it's called Dingus Egg. I did the fun Armageddon in Modern by winning with Dingus Egg and Boom // Bust. People were actually rooting for a prison deck to win it was lots of fun, as long as I assembled it anyway

I lived Richard's dream in my bird's tribal, dropped it t2 and hit with it and recast it 3 times for lands.

Okay here’s my idea for making Armageddon fun. Play Dream Halls first, and then Armageddon. “You wanna play spells? Better not kill me.”

I used to play Kamahl Fist of Krosa in Sisay with Crovax, Ascendant Hero. Oftentimes just having green mana open with kamahl by himself is excellent wrath protection.

This is great. I recently completed the top slot of my own bucket list: assemble Earthcraft + Squirrel Nest and squash my group with fluffy friends.

Been whooped by a Daxos of Meletis, he played a bunch counter spells, unblockable auras, and removal and just played the groups haymakers or kept them exiled. Plus it gains a lot of life so it doesn’t fear the crack back as much.

Seth’s apostle fun-time merry-go-death machine sounds incredibly awesome.

If I had one, it's winning at the speed of mana abilities with Necrotic Ooze, Pili-Pala, Skirge Familiar, & Selvala, Explorer Returned, with a Darksteel Colossus somewhere in your deck. Get everything but Ooze in the graveyard, then activate mana abilities until your opponents draw their decks. If you ever would run out of cards, Skirge Familiar can discard Darksteel Colossus and it instantly is shuffled in to give you another card. Opponents literally cannot respond once it's set up. Edit: Swole Ring 🤣

I like how Seth slips into the Against the Odds caduceus for a second.

My commander budget list item is decking someone/everyone out with one of those Draw X spells, just the idea of going “oh you wanna draw some cards? how about 101 cards :)”

Richard! Show of confidence, leonin light scribe, and clever lumimancer would love mono-white spell slinger! I kinda do that in my standard deck :)

For wood elemental, make a ton of Saporlings, then cast Life and limb, it turns all saporlings into forests, and all forests into saporlings. That way, you can sac all the token, saporlings and not have to touch your actual lands. Risky for sure, as you made your lands into 1/1s, but its an idea. Or you could play thromok and get a lot more out of those saporlings =/

I think Ashaya, Soul of the Wild is a plausible commander for Wood Elemental as well. Use something like an elf ball deck to dump large numbers of creatures onto the battlefield, then turn them into forests to sac to the elemental. Sadly Ashaya is NON-token, though, so they have to be actual creature cards, but it might still be doable.

Yedora + Ashaya + Titania + Wood elemental. You sac your creatures since they're also forests, you get all of them back as forests so you actually go up in true lands, and you get a gang of 5/3 elementals as well. It's definitely not the best thing you could do with these cards, but the value is there.

Careful you could turn the game into a draw if you can't end the infinite combo. Like True Infinite Combos such as Sanguine Bond and Exquisite Blood that literally can not turn off once activated will make the game just end especially for that 10 mana 2 card combo say a opponent has a Platinum Angel congrats it's a tie as again without an immediate way to win or turning it off the game just ends

Two things. 1) Hey! I vote Daxos. 2) I run that Bolas/Jace combo for a weird reason. Jace becomes a pirate because of Bolas screwing with his mind. So I loved the story and mechanical synergy.

Yavimaya Cradle + Urborg + Kormus Bell + Insurrection + Wood Elemental. Sac all your opponents lands to the Wood Elemental. Not super likely and a bunch of cards to make it work but I think it would be kind of funny.

For Armageddon, you could use ankh of Mishra and second sunrise. It's just a janky combo that blasts everyone for a ton of damage. Planar birth could also be a fun alternative

For Richard: Armageddon + Dingus Egg in a Group Hug deck that helps opponents get out lands faster than usual. Probably Kynaios and Tiro. You could also then play Treacherous Terrain.

with cartographer's hawk, it actally seems really good bc you if have something like knight of the white orchid you need to wait for turn 3 if there isnt someone doing land ramp at the table to ramp with it and then you'd be playing off curv but with cart you dont need to worry about when you drop it.

Richard, you should use Second Sunrise after the Armageddon, but have Ankh of Mishra or Zo-Zu the Punisher on the field. I don’t know if they’ll be happy about it, but it’s a good way to win by casting the Armageddon

Still ring was a problem before they reprinted it into the ground. But I do agree that mana crypt, mana vault, and mox amber, mox opal, and the lotus petal are an issue for casual. Even though I own all except mana crypt. And they are all in my highest power deck which is prossh/korvold

For the fun armageddon, just do kormus bell+ urborg/(yavimaya + text changing effect) + painter's servant + llawan cephalid empress. you bounce all the opponent's lands and creatures while having an army of 1/1 swamp islands

The real trick with Daxos is using cards which put your opponent's stuff on top of their deck, and then permanently exiling them! Azorius charm especially is very, very funny to get people with!! (Also works with the clue snek from MH2!)

Seth - I designed a Joker card creating the same effect mentioned for Hedron Alignment. If I recall the ability was named Henchmen, "If The Joker attacks and is not blocked remove him from combat. Exile all tokens target player controls and create copies that come into play under The Jokers control." Basically attempting to recreate the Cesar Romero Joker who ALWAYS had a plethora of willing henchmen to battle (And get Pow, Bam, Zowie'd into oblivion.) the Batman.

My group has something like this but we call it “Commander Achievements” examples include equipping all the swords on a single creature, using all modes of Sublime Epiphany(Sublimiest Epiphany), cycling Yidaro Wandering Monster, and having all three Radha’s in play (Radda Radda Radda)

white is weirdly a great supporting color. It has great versatile removal and ways to save your stuff/you. It’s mainly when it comes to huge powerhouses and it’s inability to snowball. other colors can consistently get card advantage and keep momentum from their cards going while most of the time white will do it’s thing and then sit there while the board keeps their momentum going.

My favorite deck I own is Daxos of Meletis. It has some control elements, a little bit of voltron, and a fair bit of mana generation. The idea being that I pump him a bit, make him actually unblockable, and then anything I hit off the top of an opponents library I have enough mana to play. Btw, his effect works beautifully with double strike.

Opalescence / Starfield + Lunar Force + Assault Suit is my #1 bucket list combo.

Strixhaven stadium. Seth's greatest anime betrayal on a Commander Clash stream if I remember right. Commander Clash Live with Tom at about 1 hour 30 minutes

I play barren glory as a back up wincon in my Vish kal blood arbiter upkeep tribal deck in case my divine intervention draw the game plan fails. Highly recommend playing both because there is multiple fun and also Janky ways to enable them.

Nine lives is also nice in Zedruu as a safehold against the player that threatens to kill you since it would take them out with you if you die. It's also a great tech against the Bane of Progress fanatics hahaha.

The combo is better and more powerful in Zur, The Enchanter. A potential side line to Doomsday.

Richard the biggest use for armageddon i have found is in my landfall deck armageddon while floating the mana for splendid Reclamation then kill all lands and cast splendid and get all yours back tapped unless you have that artifact that makes things enter untapped

Off topic, Krim's shirts are always awesome but this week, I love it so muchA

When I first started playing commander (it was around the original theros era), I had a friend who had a Daxos deck, and he kept beating us with it. I remember thinking that Daxos was so overpowered because it being unblock-able by power 3 or greater means that we can’t get favorable blocks, and he kept hitting key cards from our deck. Those were the good old days.

For Crim: Opalescence + Parallax Wave combos are super fun. That is a way you can win with Opalescence.

Boros, or "Dry" Daxos could be the bluewhite one but with different evasion and exiling cards from your own library and dealing damage equal to the mana value to any target. It would be sort of similar to Bell Borca, but it might play nicer than Wet Daxos.

Ok for the Armageddon one… play and activate obsidian fireheart as much as you can. Then when they get low blow up their lands to save them!

Hedron Alignment is the sweetest idea of all, I hope with all my heart it works one day in EDH. ^^

My #1 EDH bucket list wish is to have Merieke go off with Adarkar Valkyrie in play. It's a pet deck of mine I've played for years, but have never been able to keep them both out long enough to steal the whole board like I want.

My Pods Battle Cruiser rules. 1) No Noncreature Mana ramp with mana value 2 or less allowed 2) no commander with mana value 3 or less. Super easy deck building requirements and we have fun.

I actually play a pretty hardcore Daxos of Meletis hybrid voltron/control brew that has a pretty high win rate. It relies on some bank, especially high end counterspells and, of course, swords, but it can put the fear of God in a table very early, and normally hold onto that tempo quite well.

My bucket list is to have someone on Commander Clash play one of my decks on the show. Tomer, I built a deck around Spy Kit based on the short you did. The deck is called Spy Kit combo on Goldfish. Please play it!

I recently put together a deck that can Mindslaver lock the entire table at once using Lithoform Engine and Voltaic Key. The mana requirement just to get it going is obscene, but I have to believe one day I'll do it

Ran a deck with planar birth with multiple land destruction like armageddon with ardenn and toggo partners. That + a card like all that glitters is a wincon. Rest of the deck was fetch lands for triggers, extra landfall, and voltron pieces

Maybe you need to make a Clash episode where you just follow your dreams lol

I have a Zada deck (originally inspired by Tomer's list) and when AFR had Kick in the Door printed I wanted to speedrun all the dungeons. Happened literally the first game I put the card in the deck.

Hey Seth, the Hedron Alignment win con is most likely possible now with Claire D'Loon, Joy Sculptor from the new Unfinity set. She does have an acorn sticker though but that shouldn't be a problem if you guys decide on an Unfinity clash.

I’m very thorn on Tomer’s and Seth’s take about fast mana (@01:20:00); My playgroup is pretty insulated from Fast Mana; we all run Sol Ring but no one runs Mana Crypt or Vault, because of the higher price (we started playing in 2017, after the price spike of both). I really don’t want to see Sol Ring banned, I kinda like the variation it brings to the mid level of the format where someone will start with it in turn 1 or 2 and it impacts the game.

Power creep with mana rocks will come in the form of better and better 2cc rocks. Like making two colorless for 2, maybe even entering untapped. Or a mind stone-like card that will let you draw two cards when you pay two Mana and tap and sac it. Or an indestructible 2cc makes 1 colorless rock. Or a 2cc makes 1 of any color, but return a land when it enters or sacrifice it.

Mine is totally to kill every player on the table in one turn with inferno of the star mounts effect. How much you'd have to equip, unequip, +1+1 counters and -1-1 counters. So many hoops, you'd practically need someone to have nearly their entire Library in their hand with jeska's will and a huge seething song

There is multiple equipment that have equip remove a counter and equipped creature gets +1/+1 for each counter that insta counter with inferno.

Richard inspired me to put Catastrophe back in my deck lmao. Just sleeved it up and threw it in the deck. Atleast it gives you the choice of salt or boardwipe.

I run a Mono white deck and it's one of my decks that wins the most consistently. It's mono white modular, with Heliod at the helm, and I don't run ballista or even triskelion. I have actually dropped most of my conditional land ramp because I consistently have more lands than everyone else, and fairly regularly draw close to half my deck.

One of the more recent additions to my bucket list is to get a kill with Wretched Anurid.

I did that once with my four colour frog tribal deck in the first game didn't draw any frogs until I topdecked him after the other three players almost koed themselves

Hedron Alignment, does this work: [Hedron Alignment], [Opalescence] and [Spy Kit] in play, equip the Hedron Alignment. Do you win at the upkeep, if you have a nonlegendary creature in hand, exile and graveyard?

Mine used to be to make infinite mana with multiple Myr Galvanizer copies and to win with that. Did it with Rocket Launcher. Another I managed was to get value from Goblin Artisans.

my main deck is a 5 color Kaladesh-Energy-themed deck with kenrith as commander. but i never managed to attack with electrostatic Pummeler + Blade of Selves and neither to pump the pummeler into the hundreds then play Peema Aether Seer :(( have a dralnu deck as well, always scary to play him x) need a instant sacrifice enabler on board all time if possible. still love him

Richard for your happy armaggedon= fractured identity an omniscience then armaggedon. Everyone still gets to play but you blew up the lands and possibly put up a shield against enchantment board wipes

A funny way to win with Armageddon would be to gain control of all lands first with something like Peer Pressure + Life and Limb + Yavimaya, Cradle of Growth then cast Armageddon while you have a Zulaport Cutthroat effect on the board.

if your deck has lots of catch-up ramp (~5 pieces) just choose to go second!

Crim I have a great list for infinite bolas it was the primary win con my superfriends deck (granted it ran Omniscience lines so anything wins)

Bummer that Tomer won't see this but Daxos of Meletis was my first and still favorite commander. My build has effects that put permanents back on top of players decks and clones along with the best blue and white Staples. The point of it is a deck that scales with the power level of your opponents. Also sword of feast and famine is especially strong because it untaps your mana to when the effect triggers. I've won with it many times including my first game ever where I cloned a big avacyn from a kaalia player that got bolted after using necropotentence.

in Regards to Crim's Idea for a "color specific hate" deck. I have one, its a Morphon Devoid Eldrazi Deck, The Devoid/Colorless Eldrazi mean that you can play creatures and not get run over before setting up your taxing effects. I will say some of the better effects are not on MODO though, specifically the Ice Age enchantments that prevent Green or Black Creatures from attacking unless the owner sacrifices a land. By the way, there is an enchantment that forces the owner of a Green Creature to sacrifice a land in order to attack. That exists.

My sram deck is equipment voltron cedh and is crazy powerful. Popping off turn 3 consistently and although one of my most expensive deck at $1500 i really do love it. At the same time i have a $25 boros deck and many other sub $100 decks.

I love fast mana (and also mono white) In magic going first can matter quite a bit. I like fast mana as a way to even out that advantage by upping the amount of variance. I also like playing multiple faster games over drawn out incomprehensible board states. The more options we have for mana, the better. Really the problem is the lack of reprints imo.

@Tomer Why don't you lean into the switch theme more with Dralnu? There are also many spells in blue and black that switch your creatures with your opponents creatures. After that you fill the deck with weak ETB creatures, so that you can get the ETB Trigger and then give them away. The next part of the deck could be bounce spells and bounce ETBs. They synergize with Dralnu, as you can bounce him in response to a damage spell, and they can also bounce your switched creatures to get them back to your hand and get another ETB. That way you have another game plan beside just waiting for a damage board wipe :)

On my bucket list, i have a cosima mono blue landfall deck. I want to win with retreat to coralhelm + walking atlas + guildless commons +thassa's oracle. It's what im mostly waiting for😅

I had a challenge deck I built with Wood Elemental, the goal was to kill one person with it, even if it was a 1/1. It was an equipment deck with Akiri and a green partner of some sort (Might have been Sidar Kondo or Ikra). My plan was to cast it, move a bunch of equipment to it, and start going to town with a huge Wood Elemental. That didn't happen, I ended up getting Treasure Nabber and Mycosynth Lattice on the battlefield, which allows me to temporarily steal lands when tapped for mana since they became artifacts. I stole my friend's forests he used and cast Wood Elemental to sacrifice his Forests; he conceded. (This was before Yavimaya was printed, I would definitely put it in there if it was around but this was about 3 years ago)

Enchanted evening, opalescence actually permanently destroys all lands. Since all lands are enchantments, and all enchantments are creatures equal to their mana value, they all die due to state based effects. Actually the win con in my enchantress deck and it works pretty reliably if you have the board state before you do it

You could pull Hedron Alignment off in commander. If Wizards prints a card that says "This card has all names of all non-legendary cards" and "You may have any number of cards of this card in your deck" or "7 copies of this card in your deck" like with Seven Dwarves you could win with Hedron Alignment. It would also enable cards like Clarion Ultimatum, Grim Reminder, or Twinning Glass. I'm not quite sure if Wizards should do it because you can do really broken stuff with it, but it's possible to do it without using digital-only mechanics. I want to pull off a 3x Lumbering Battlement combo (which is casting a LB-like creature, while having a LB-like creature who exiled a third LB-like creature). There are enough redundant pieces in white to make it work in a Yannik/Nikara partners deck, with Yannick being one of those LB-like pieces (and others being Felidar Guardian and Glorious Protector), but I need to really sit down and figure out the deck, how it is supposed to play out and actually throw it together.

I can see it now, commander legends II comes out and have a card called "magus of the sol" and it's just a green 0/1 for G, has haste and taps for 2 colorless

"Best" Wood Elemental home: Morophon elemental deck with cost reduction and Yawg will to infinitly cast a 0/0 wood elemental, getting infinite etbs for risen reef, etc. And infinite dies triggers

Not quite sure if this works, but you could you animate the hedron alignment and then equip it with a spy kit? Would the hedron alignment text then be changed to just needing to have a nonlegendary creature in each of those zones? Or would it still only refer to hedron alignment?
