Smashing the glass is Not about the destruction of the Temple. That's a falsehood. It was a German custom to keep the bad spirits away from the bride and groom on the day of the wedding. Rabbi Eliezer ben Natan of Mainz mentioned this in the medieval times, in 12th century.
@michellelansky4490

It is fully acknowledged that breaking of the glass is zecher lchurban. Surely maybe the reason you give is a secondary reason but the fact that it's zecher lchurban is common knowledge.

Happy anniversary. Is the wedding the first time you touch each other? Is the reception a time for singles even though separated 'future spouse shopping?' How does the reception end? Does the couple say? Or MC? A time limit? When does the bed chamber ritual happen? Our LDS engagements are similarly short. I met in person my suitor in early September. We were engaged end of September. Circumstances I could not see him until before my wedding. Married in sacred temple ceremony 3 months later. Still married 27 years though will say there will be hard patches ahead but stay committed to your contract or covenants even if you would not and time fixes things.
@lindaversil1121
9 ай бұрын
Reception not time for singles since they have to be researched before and the dates set up by a shadchan matchmaker. You can’t just meet randomly. The couple never touch til after they are married. There is usually a time limit when the band leaves and dinner is finished and people start to leave. There is no bed chamber ritual in Judaism.

@@suem6004I listened again and there was no mention of a bed chamber. Maybe you meant the seclusion room where the couple eat their first meal together in privacy. They had been fasting all day and are starving. When they finish they go out to take pictures because now they are allowed to touch and afterwards they dance with everyone. No intimacy goes on in the seclusion room. There is no bed in there. Just a table and chairs to eat their dinner alone

I find that dating for only 3 months literally unbelievable. Especially with added restrictions put on the couples. I just don’t see how you can possibly know someone that you are to spend the rest of your life with, well enough after 3 months. Also in non-Jewish weddings, one of the best and most emotional parts are when brides dance with their fathers. Calling dancing with the opposite sex, “intimate”, is beyond comprehension to me. Especially in front of a room full of people. Same with modesty clothing. Seems like lots of trust issues to me.

@@ThatJewishFamily Thank you for taking the time to answer, and that is what I have learned about other "directions" also. Thanks again ♡
Beautiful.
Well explained. I met an incredible woman recently and I hope she’s the one.
Raizel was a stunning bride! Beautiful couple.
May Hashem continue to bless both of you and your family on both sides.
What a beautiful couple you are Mazel tov
Smashing the glass is Not about the destruction of the Temple. That's a falsehood. It was a German custom to keep the bad spirits away from the bride and groom on the day of the wedding. Rabbi Eliezer ben Natan of Mainz mentioned this in the medieval times, in 12th century.

It is fully acknowledged that breaking of the glass is zecher lchurban. Surely maybe the reason you give is a secondary reason but the fact that it's zecher lchurban is common knowledge.
Beautiful video. Wasn't Abraham the first Hebrew, (which I believe means to "cross over" not first Jew, the term Jewish didn't come till much later.....
Beautiful
Don't spread hate. Love is the besy religion ❤❤
Congratulations very beutiful 🎉

@@lindaversil1121 Maybe that was it. From another video he mentioned and showed the bed chamber ritual for another couple. But maybe he meant seclusion room? I dont know

I been following you for a month and first time I see your wedding. Love you. He is so sweet and nice man with beautiful eyes for his wife, she is extremely beautiful 😍 and now your 2 kids. Just one question: your wedding was in Australia 🇦🇺. I also see other flag ~ Ukraine 🇺🇦??? I know you travel all over and I love that. In 🇲🇽 🇲🇽 México city we have a big Jewish community ✡️ 🕍 🇮🇱 🕎 🔯 ❤❤🎉 shalom😊

Jewish men can’t be trusted to not lust after women so they have to cover up and wear wigs. Educate yourself

It's truly all for appearances. You are correct. I understand protecting you reputation, but with so many witnesses, anyone who ensues anything is just a busy body at that point and that is on them.
Why are the men and women separated in the ceremony and reception?!Congrats to the Bride and Groom ✨❤️🥂
