One year after breaking ground, we hit a huge milestone. It’s been a long year of construction, including going on a little hiatus while waiting and hoping for the price of materials to drop. That actually gave the guys lots of time to work on the cinder block workshop. We have been lucky to get our subcontractors to help out. It really helped move certain processes along quicker. If anyone is thinking of building a house on your own, it helps to have more patience than you’ve ever known. But it is possible! We’ll happily continue forward with building the house we designed. Home feels so much closer now.
