I don't understand why anyone would want to make dramas out of such stories and expect people to suffer for 42 episodes.

I read somewhere it was because happy ending easier to forget while something tragic have a lasting effect, that's why many Chinese drama have sad ending

Cheng Peng had a bright happy future ahead of him. He was guilt-ridden and tried to fulfill his wife's late father's wishes. He suffered the most in this show. He protected her, guided her, and tried not to love her but ended up anyways. I was heartbroken for him in the last episode. He didn't mean to kill her father he just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time just like Cheng Peng.

@@SalmanKhan-mg2ny that might be true. But, his parents were not that innocent. If he could have only been born to simply minded folks who only wished for their child happiness instead of seeing the status symbol. I still feel more sympathy towards Cheng Peng though. He does get to start anew though since he was forgiven and can go out and look for happiness that is drama free.

what's the difference when she wanted to abort the baby and now her mom wants her to abort the innocent baby but Cheng Peng was there during abort and now Cheng Peng is there during this unfortunate news. Whole point is Cheng Peng was there for her even if it is for his redemption. Starting to like cheng peng more and more.

Yeah he was there all the time when she destroying her life in front of her father actual murderer, he could have save her n her marriage n her child but he was douche n didn't say anything to stop the catastrophe rather he let it happen so that he can have her for himself

@@anjulsahai1391 Cheng Peng can't do anything with her marriage to begin with and beside how can you stay with the marriage who initiated the whole thing. Shen Hau mother paid the education department so indirect killer is ok to continue the marriage? All Shen Hau is at fault first of all he should have studied instead of playing games and not knowing the reality. Ok killing someone who ran into the traffic light is not ok but if you have left and never felt guilt it's even more of a murder then anything else, it's unforgivable.
