Our Autistic Son from 0-1 in Old Home Videos
What was our autistic 7 year old like when he was a baby? Today's video takes you back 7 years in videos to what our smile-y little guy was like as an infant. He was an easy going, happy baby who loved to babble and smile at everyone, who turned into an easy going happy toddler who continued to grow into the smart, sweet little boy he is today. Here's a look back at when he was tiny.
Welcome to Someday I'll Sleep Autism Vlogs! We talk a lot about autism around here because as a family with four kids and one mom on the autism spectrum we believe that autism acceptance is extremely important. We also post family vlogs daily, about our lives. You'll get glimpses of what's going on at the moment in our lives, usually in a little town in Michigan, or in the city that Paul works in and where we have about a million therapy sessions each week.
This schedule isn't super strict but generally I am trying to stick to it:
Monday- Autism Sit Down Video focusing on Parenting and Autistic Kids
Tuesday- Day in the Life
Wednesday- Fun Activity with the Kids
Thursday- Day in the Life
Friday- Adult Autistic Perspective Sit Down Videos
Saturday- Day Off or News Videos (or sometimes random videos!)
Sunday- other (random, depends on what's going on)
We are a family of 7, with a Mom named Cammie and a Dad named Paul. Sadie is 11, Maggie is 9, Patrick is 7, James is 5, and Tessie is now 3!

Internet is taking ASD very far and put more fear in parents, this baby does everything a normal baby can do

This just goes to show the big spectrum kids can fall on.
My son also have autism bahavior hes 5yrs old now but he won't listen anybody

She mentions that Patrick (the boy in this video) seemed like the most neurotypical of all her children and she only suspected something was different about him in Kindergarten.

There is nothing wrong with anyone autistic 💞 they are unique and beautiful just as all GODS created beings
If you started out with neurotypical kids that "developed" (I don't mean any disrespect I just don't know how else to say it) autism over time, what happened? If kids are born autistic it wouldn't develop over time like that. Would they? I don't get it. I've seen videos where kids were affected really young but your son, not simply seemed, but was completely normal. And he was normal up until kindergarten? What changed?

He was born autistic, just like I was. You can’t develop autism. You’re either autistic when you are born or you aren’t. Sometimes autism isn’t apparent when kids are tiny, especially in a home like ours that is sensory friendly and where being autistic is literally normal. It often becomes more apparent when the social demands of school come into play. That’s what happened with both of our sons. I wasn’t diagnosed until I was 37. My oldest wasn’t diagnosed until she was 11. But we were both autistic our entire lives.
Do you have a which level there’s high functioning and there’s low functioning there’s non-verbal I mean there’s many people that have some form of autism and I were talking I functioning cool but we’re talking low functioning to the point where are you were never going to be able to do anything on your own that’s where it to me is borderline retardation. Some doctors even say it is similar due to not being verbal wearing diapers no communication skills morning so farming.

Most autistic people don’t love functioning levels. As a family with 6 autistic members we have a wide variety of communication needs and day to day functioning needs.

Babies have fingernails that can be very sharp even when kept short.
