    To your point,,January 6th, 14th Amendment top the list. They are other reason why. However It's not the first time he was found guilty of committing fraud, the Trump University, people lost thousands of dollars some totally lost their liveihood. He himself is a fraud, he not a self-made billionaire, his father gave him money, they were both found guilty at one point of decimating, refusing to rent to Colored people, placing a letter C on their application. He never paid construction workers who built his Tower in NY, nor some of his casinos. Filled bankruptcy 6 times. Do a research you will find and wonder how he was supported in the first place, Mob, Russia whos backing who?

    Folks, please take a moment today to read Lincoln's "Second Inaugural Address", the greatest speech in history. With all the recent discussion about the cause of the Civil War, you will find that Lincoln provides the answer. The cause of the war was slavery, and slavery was a hideous national sin which has to paid for in blood.

And Lincoln explicitly says in the "Second Inaugural Address" that those deaths were insufficient to compensate for the grievous sin of slavery: "Fondly do we hope -- fervently do we pray -- that this mighty scourge of war may pass away. Yet, if God wills it to continue, until all the wealth plied by the bonds-man's two hundred and fifty years of unrequited toil shall be sunk, and every drop of blood drawn with the lash, shall be paid by another drawn with the sword, as was said three thousand years ago. 'the judgments of the Lord, are true and righteous altogether'."

    Stop trying to destroy our democracy with your lies. We had nothing but democracy in action under the previous administration. We have to remember the Wall Street Journal article when they were forced to admit that lower and middle income Americans were receiving a higher percentage of wage increase then upper class Americans. We also must look at the statistics that black unemployment was at a historic lower level under the previous administration. At the end of the previous administration we were moving forward with an 8% rate of growth and a 1.4% rate of inflation. We had so much hope for Joe in his new administration, wanting him to continue our supercharged economy and wanting him to continue, the fact that we were independent in the world leading producer of energy according to the EIA. Sadly, this is not happened.

    The issue is simply this...education. There needs to be a revival of a liberal education. So few people understand those issues, situations, societal problems that flow beneath the surface in which too many live on. The attention span of a housefly that plagues so many. So many that have not read Lincolns letters or speeches. Have not read from Aristotle to Lincoln. Only living in the present. Living only for self interest. The irony is there a so many that rail against themselves and do not even see it. I see the above in the South. There are those who long for the good ole days of the 1950s era. Nice prosperity, family all those things that are safe and secure in their minds. However, you ask them "well how would that African American female over there in her 60s feel about that?" Their minds are blown, because they fail to look at the bigger picture. Only themselves.

    Democracy wasn't under threat in civil war. The South would stay equally democratic as it had been before, and the North would get rid of slavery and might have meant an increase in democracy. Trump's project 2025 and implications of retribution and use of army mean a full withdrawal from democracy.

One of the main takeaways from Lincoln's words are the necessity for honesty in politics and in the media. Trump would be an utter disappointment for Lincoln and he would choose a different person to lead his Party, if not abandon today's GQP altogether. Even if you considered all things, Lincoln (like literally all of the U.S. at the time) considered the lifestyle of what the LGBTQ believe to be debauchery. Especially allowing it paraded around the White House. This is not a praise on Trump as much as it is a condemnation of Biden. Lincoln would most certainly choose Trump simply out of sheer rejection of Biden. Lincoln was a deeply religious person who would have been viewed as a right-wing evangelical conservative for his views.

    What would Lincoln do? It depends on what Lincoln knew. If all Lincoln knew today is what he knew 150 odd years ago, whatever he did would be based on that LONG out-dated information. Inapplicable. On the other hand, if he were alive today, had been educated in and lived through the history of the past few decades, all while valuing democracy as 'our ancient faith,' *he most certainly would **_not_** indorse Trump!*

    Re-visionist history... I find it hard to believe Trump would have emancipated the slaves. He'd send them to Monte Largo to work for free. We are well aware Lincolns primary concern was for the union's survival, but he didn't personally like slavery. Is it true Lincoln who was losing to the South so badly his wife said, "She could have done better in her petty coats?" Lincoln was praying 🙏🏼 and told God, if he let them win Gettysburg, that he'd free the slaves?

    Whence this nonsence about the synonyms derived from Latin and Greek? Google translate "Republic" into Greek and you get "δημοκρατία" [Dimokratia]. Also, when you consider Lincoln's cabinet appointments (Ref. "Team of Rivals" by DK Goodwin), you wouldn't imagine Lincoln appointing a buffoon like Trump to any responsible position. [Trump might have secured some military command during the civil war -- political generals seemed to proliferate back then, but most such officers were ineffectual in the field.)

    The fasces are a symbol of the Roman Republic, which were appropriated by America long before they were appropriated by Italian fascism. And Lincoln was ambivalent about full social equality for Blacks, but by the end of the Civil War he was in favor of full voting and civil rights for Blacks, and was prepared to impose this upon the defeated South. And he was ambivalent about full social equality because he believed that racist whites would never recognize Blacks as social equals.
