This film, entitled “Our ACS Forever”, is shot by Hanson Lu, and the music is composed by Collier Ow. It accompanied our Principal’s presentation at our inaugural e-Open House.
The work features the school campus as the primary subject and it was filmed during COVID-19.
Starting off on an exploration of our school campus in its stillness amidst the COVID-19 situation, Hanson’s work brings us on a journey to distinct locations like the Junior Block, IB Block, sports facilities and the Boarding School. His portrayal of ACS(I) not only takes the viewer through our school campus, but it was also his and Collier’s endeavour to bring out the deeper significance behind these school locations; that beyond an infrastructure, the very grounds of ACS(I) which we call HOME have brought generations of ACSians through a lived educational experience that has seen memories cherished, friendships forged, lives changed.
This stunning visual and auditory experience was made possible with the myriad of educational opportunities to learn and discover within ACS(I)’s compounds. Hanson, a member of the Robotics Technology Society, developed his aerial videography skills embarking on similar work with robots in the club. Collier, on the other hand, furthered his talent in music composition through ACS(I)’s Music Elective Programme.
Our school’s campus is not just the pride and joy of many ACSians and a beacon of God’s unending grace through the years, but grounds where we, as a school family, grew to Care, Serve and Excel.
