Taken the words right out of my mouth! Just needed to clarify things because as result day approaches, I know all the A* videos will start coming up and the reality is NOT everyone gets these grades. You will definitely see more of my bighead friends 😂

I felt this with my chest as I'm in the same position. I wear my badge of surviving Year 14 with pride lol. Learnt the hard way that no one person's path is the same as another person's. Really helped me to get through this year!

I think this needs to be preached everywhere, not to expect to do well in a levels just because of GCSE results, not to take certain A levels to please others because you have to do what you want yourself, it's okay to take an extra year as we all develop at out own pace and not getting into your dream uni is not the end of the world, what's meant to happen will happen. 💜💜 You come first at the end of the day

I also resat the year twice!! I respect both of you a lot for carrying on with A levels 🤗 I started off with A levels then decided to do btec for 2 years, when I went off to uni, my first year course wasn't something I was into so I changed courses, but your right about there being people older than you and working in different speeds so it's all good 🤗btw I'm happy that it worked out for both of you and you both look really pretty 😘xxxx

Aww, Thank you! If you know, then there really is no choice in forcing it. This is the energy you need. Re-sit Year 13, work hard, have fun, revise smartly and be proactive in your approach, then everything will fall into place. I wish you the best in your studies! Keep us updated on how things go x

Your course was very competitive, Warwick is a uni where a lot of top law firms recruit their graduate trainees from so I think that’s why you didn’t get in as it’s so competitive, but as you said, Sheffield is still an amazing place!x

Honestly I was so upset I got BDU for sociology,biology and chemistry and got dropped from chemistry AND biology and put onto applied science year 12, psychology year 12 and sociology year 13, so I've decided to leave transfer schools do year 12 again with biology,sociology and psychology because as much as I want to be with my friends and such I would HATE that subject combo tbh. Honestly people mature differently 100%!!

Student School Stuff Heyy, the alternative your previous school provided isn’t so bad as finishing year 13 Sociology first and having only two other A levels to focus on in the next year alleviates a bit of pressure. However, if changing subject isn’t comfortable with you, I don’t see why you should not be able to carry on with your current subjects and improving them. Just be aware that to change those grades, you will need to crack down and put the work in. Those BDU grades in year 12 do not define you at all. Year 12 grades doesn’t count for anything in the new linear Alevels. The mental growth failing or retaking gives is acc phenomenal. Failure just means you’re starting again NOT from scratch but from experience! Do keep me updated if you can x Wishing you the best of luck

@@abs.tract_ Thank you, honestly on yt most of what I see is the A* videos cos no one wants to share things like this. Also yeah I thought they would allow be to at least continue sociology and biology as a D is a pass and other people got D and were allowed but they said no, also for physio biology is the required subject and I'm not going to be forced into something that won't get me where I want to go. I was quite lazy this year and the kick to revise came wayyyy too late, so 100% am ready to put the work in the 2nd time

@@4danna73 lmao just decided to watch this video again. so what ended up happening was I resat, finished a levels. I got into physio (2 foundation year offers and one standard 3 year) but it wasn't what I truly wanted so I'm going to do midwifery now. I finished a levels this year with ABE (psychology sociology biology) the science department gave the entire cohort an E they were awful, anyways I'm not too bothered I'm sitting biology independently in 2022 , working full time studying on a gap year. 3 years in college was intense so I needed this break + the money for uni. What did u end up doing

Heyy, sorry for my late response! In my opinion, Sheffield university is somewhat diverse in regards to different cultures and people. However like any uni outside of London, there is definitely a smaller percentage of BAME students. Are you considering attending for the next academic year ?
