Our 1934 Ford Coupe "Beautiful" Has A New Engine And Is Ready To Drive!!
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
In the last video on our 1934 Ford Coupe "Beautiful", Matt and Steve got the replacement engine running. After letting it run a few time and getting up to temp, it's time to install into the car. Steve and Matt's Dad get to work installing the new engine. After it is installed, Matt cleans up the air cleaner, tops off the coolant and takes it for a spin! Matt and Steve take it for a 30 minute drive to make sure everything is working properly. The test drive has added a few items to the punch list, but overall the car is almost ready for the road!

Guys, I live in Arkansas and after I recover from injuries and learn to walk again. I'm going to make it a point to visit Iron Trap Garage if that is at all possible. Yall are such a inspiration, at least to me.

I used old project cars for recovery tools. It helps a lot. Gives you something to strive for and something to get up and do everyday. Today is two years since my neck surgery. As of today what started then is out of control now. Old shitty cars are great for PT and mental health. I wish you the best of luck.

@@gseyank100 I have a 1930 nash and a 1946 1 1/2 ton truck and a 1976 GMC 2 ton. I completely agree with you I've worked on them before my accident, and will concentrate more so after this bump in the road. Great comment.

@@IronTrapGarage thank you very much for the invite. I was wondering if it was possible to come to the Garage. It would be a honor to meet all of the cast for all have contributed to the show. And yes I would love to take a ride in any of the cars. 😆 LOL
Hey Matt glad to see the old girl back on the road again. I'm sure you will be having fun driving her around .👍
Watched all of the videos episodes about “Beautiful.” You honored the car wonderfully and the lovely lady who called her “Beautiful.” If you should ever decide to let someone else love her, give me a shout-out.” Doug Rockingham, NC
I'm from the U.K and have been following your channel with interest. This project has been great and to hear the history with the car just adds to its value as a piece of American automotive history.
She's pretty much the jewel of your collection in my opinion.
Matt Congratulations in getting Beautiful back on the road.
Morning Matt, Mike & Steve, I can only imagine having a job where you work on old cool cars.....looks like Beautiful is ready for the road!! Be safe!! God Bless!!
Awesome job guys! Back to it's TRUE survivor status with the early engine! Of course when Kate sees that sidewalk, your next project is to finish pressure washing the rest of it! Matt- Mojo Speed Shop and Lounge

It’s always an adventure to see if you guys make it home 😂🤣 gas is always good 👍

Thanks for the new video, guys!
New Iron Trap motto: "Every once in a while we get it right." 😁
Adding the Columbia to Beautiful will be a huge help, make it much better on the Highway and relax the r.p.m s on the "flatty".Cheers from Erlanger Kentucky.
Beautiful lives again what a nice old school original
When I first built my car, it had 11:1 pistons etc. and when you got over 2k rpm the temp gage would start to climb. I didn't run a thermostat and noticed that when I would slow down it would cool down. I took a thermostat and cut the plunger out and used the plate as a restrictor and I worked like a charm.
That chainfall is the worst sound with headphones! Lol Nice work y’all.
Good job on the engine install Steve and Matt's dad . Trust Matt to rock up at the last moment and grab the first start glory . Lol . Hope you can enjoy driving beautiful worry free . And hello to Mike .
CONGRATULATIONS GUYS, it's overwhelming the joy that it's feels when all the hard work comes thru, outstanding and impressive work that all of you have done, most kind of you for sharing it with us, blessings to you and your love ones from the endless summer paradise Puerto Rico Jesus Torres.
Great show guys! I love it when everything goes good for y'all. Beautiful seemed to be riding moderately smooth for ya. I don't know, but maybe it was the extra weight sitting next to you in the front seat that made her ride smooth? Haha, I'm just kidding Steve. Steve, you've been working pretty hard on everything lately, and I know that Matt really appreciates all you do. You make it fun for everybody. Ok, have yerselves a great day, my friends. ✌️👌👋🖐🤜🤛
Well that was fun ! It was like taking a Sunday morning cruz in Beautiful ! Great video men !! Thanks for the ride !
Such a gorgeous little car, what is there not to Love?
Awesome to see Beautiful on the road again !!

"Beautiful" is a good name for it Matt. I love it. What a great patina. You know a car has amazing lines when it doesn't need to be pristine condition to look good. I envy you to be cruising in it. What I high that must be! Bravo for your work.
Hey Matt and crew!!!!!!! Love this channel it’s my favorite one have a great day!!

Thanks for watching!
For reluctant window tracks use Dry Glide, teflon spray from I think CRC. Do you have a thermostat?? Temp going up and down probably means NO. T stat is the most important part of the colling system. This car really needs paint and whatever trim it needs. So nice to look like crap!!
I love that Coupe. Don't change a thing she is BEAUTIFUL!!! Love your channel it Relaxes me. I'm saving up for another house Garage - barn. Going threw 3rd Divorce. My mom And Pops had a beautiful marriage of 60 plus years, Always wanted the Same. Just picked the wrong women. The Spoiled ones no matter couldn't make happy!! My Dad Drag Raced and had a lot of old Fords Chevys. I was bit at an early age. Had some nice old ones myself. Will again. Your very very Blessed young man. One more thing you look identical to a Friend of mine that was a Gear Head also. Jim Giles - like the band. My spelling isn't good!! He Died under a car. Great Guy miss him very much!!
I say it all the time. I have a soft spot for the 5 windows. That car is awesome. Glad to see how it’s transformed and about to be at the upstairs showroom/ storage point
3 minutes of Steve pulling his chain.
Matt: Please do a bio on Steve. Seems like a great guy, would like to know more about his hot rodding background and you and he chose each other.
Good to have another mechanic along, I see he has a screwdriver in had, at the ready.
Good work boys 👍
Good job on getting Beautiful up and running again.
So cool to see Beautiful with a good engine in her abd her first test ride mostly successful with only minor issues to be addressed. She's definitely gonna be turning heads at shows. Mike, I hope you have a really nice history story board display with pictures and her info about her original owner and how you acquired her plus what you went thru getting her back in road worthy condition. She definitely deserves.
Awsome come back for Beautiful congrats guys job well done
Love that car. Flatheads Forever! 🤟😎
Congratulations!
Good Morning ITG !!!! It's great to see everyone's facial expression when you get the thrill of victory. PRICELESS. I couldn't believe that kicked off as quick as it did. Nice job as always.
Matt and crew. That is a badass little 34. Beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
run run run
Beautiful and a survivor.
I've loved that car since you first got it. It's got a survivor /time traveller attitude, and it's completely honest and real. It looks like you guys are on the home stretch with this one. It's near perfect for what it is, good job guys!
Congratulations! And thank you very much for taking “us”for a ride.
Hey....keep the great shows comming throughly enjoy.... New Zealand 🇳🇿
Recommendation temp gauge for each head as the flattys as u know have water flow probs and are not evenly flow side to side just a old skool guy to old skool guys FYI
Glad to see it back on the road, it ran really good
Congrats beautiful
Good job guys! You probably wouldn't like my 73 GMC C25! 292 6 cyl, 4:56 rear, stick with no OD.
Great work fellas. Love this channel.
It's probably alittle lean under part throttle might need a bigger main jet ..love beautiful 😍..
Sweet ride!
Amazing job guys. The drive was awesome. Thank you for sharing!
CONGRATULATIONS MATT!!!! ONE MORE DAILY DRIVER RETURNS TO THE ROAD!!!! GREAT VIDEO & THANKS FOR SHARING!!!
Great video! Got a bunch of old classics in there!🔧🛠️😁👍
Looks great! Don't forget to repair the brakes 😉
Awesome ! Glad it all went together well , & you were able to drive it enough to see that the cooling was fixed . A few other tweaks , & she will be very reliable . A Beautiful car , from a better managed time . Great job guys !
Sweet Beautiful!
you know she's a lot happier since her heart transplant being that she didn't leave you stranded along the side of the road this time. since it only cut out going uphill, mebbe there's an issue with the pick up tube in the fuel tank. i was working on a '70 c10 pick up for a customer that had a similar issue with the in cab tank. it had been off the road for a few years, and come to find out, an inch or two of the pickup tube had rusted and broken off, so when you'd make a sharp turn with under a 1/4 of a tank of gas, the fuel would slosh to the one side and starve the engine for fuel. i guess at one time there was a lot of water in the bottom of the tank, because it was really crusty inside. that was a head scratcher let me tell you.
good to see the old girl back on the road amazing job
Absolutely awesome! This car is so original.
"Beautiful" 👍👍😃🇦🇺
My 37 V8 ford used to vapourish the fuel when the engine got warm in the higher rev range or on a hot day, because of the location of the pump. I put an electric pump down near the tank and that fixed it . Great to see this car back on the road
awesome car
Yay! Third time's the charm 😁
Grate it is running aging love it few bugs to work out little more work to due to it but it look good love old cars grate job guys from steve c from state Oregon
I will have to finish the last half of the video at work this morning.
This is one of my favorite cars on this channel. Just love the general vibe that this car has.
Congratulations Beautiful! You did it!!
Great work.
Very KOOL to see it back on the road Matt and Steve Nice job
Awesome!
Looks like the sidewalk could use a wash.
hey Matt , you guys are really making great strides with production of these cars however , watching this video with your man using that " manual chain hoist " kills me ! I sent ya a comment months ago about it , you get your self a electric chain hoist your man will think he died and went to heaven !!! I used them with 1 man installing MACK TRUCK ENGINES , what a breeze !! that repeating loop chain is a pain in the ass , and it's always getting caught on stuff and is slow as molasses in January !!!! I'm sure you can round one up on the " cheap " !! give it some serious thought , you won't regret it !!!!!! keep up the great videos , just remember ( time is money ) !!

Nice lil car! Yes indeed. Dad had a 48 2 dr sedan and that motor was great! Never missed a beat going uphill! 👍
So happy to see you guys got it together and rolling again soon. Sorry I missed you yesterday morning I was wondering what you were doing, and now I have a good idea. Off to work.

It’s an issue with the flasher inside the stalk. It flashes as the charging system works but doesn’t flash the exterior lights.
What an awesome car! She is definitely beautiful.
