I guess there was something missed before the end of the game: if Fred really swung with Arcades and was blocked by Kathril, Arcades would die on first strike damage and all the other walls would be back to dealing 0 damage.

That could've bought him a turn, but I'm not sure if it would've been enough. Fred was drawing so many cards, he probably had more interaction in hand.

Whenever I read the name "Baba Lysaga", I always get the feeling that this is something a Hollow Knight NPC would say... 🤔

In retrospect you are right, we we're trying to stop Corwin and let Fred take over.

Arcades is one of my favorite commanders, glad to see it perform well!

I recently started building Myrkul as a Abzan Sliver Tribal deck. It's quite fun to double the Sliver lord effects like Muscle Sliver with Procession and Parallel Lives. Abzan provides a lot of combat advantages for Slivers and you could always animate the tokens with some janky cards.

Got a list? That actually sounds really interesting.

I know Fred had Mana Drain, so it wouldn't have resolved anyway, but seeing you mill that Living Death that could've been your salvation at 10:40 still left a bitter taste in my mouth. 😢 As always, Kathril's lack of haste is its undoing. I still hate the fact that haste counters aren't a thing.

Yeah same (since I play it as well). On the other hand. It would often mean he is one shot on cast if not countered.

I like the use of an Infini token to keep track of kathril counters

Oooh some fun unusual commanders! Hell yeah!

Kathril is one of my all time favorite commanders. It was the first precon commander deck I bought and I upgraded it over the years and still to this day have a blast playing it :)

Is there an update for the deckilist for Arcades? Trying to build a Arcades deck :D

I love my Kathril deck. But there is a lot of graveyard tutors in it so it's fairly consistent because of that. Myrcooool is also nice, but imo it's hard to play with it. It's not an enchantment commander at all, but also not really that much of an aristocrat deck either. Good luck with it thoug. Wonder how you will build it.

Wouldn't the Curtain's Call have fizzled with one less target? As it doesn't read "up to two"?

As long as a spell or ability has at least one legal target remaining, it will resolve as many effects as it can. They only fizzle if there are no legal targets left.

I built xantcha as a salt deck. My buddy likes to pull out his highest end deck when he feels he got insulted or bullied, so for those games I play xantcha salt. Its nothing but group hurt stuff and curses 🤣
