Why is he getting hate exactly? He's such a gentleman and down to earth person.How could someone possibly hate him? Just curious.

From what I can tell, no one actually hates him for the kind of person he is (because honestly how could you? He's just such a sweetheart, and I've never seen anyone who's actually met him or worked with him say a single bad word about him). It's just that his character is extremely polarizing - you either love Hook or hate his guts, and people who hate him have been really vocal lately because season 5 has been very focused on him and his relationship with Emma. The people who hate on Colin are the kinds of people who can't differentiate between the actor and the character, or are sick of Hook being on the show so they start horrible rumors about Colin trying to get him fired (which is absolutely disgusting behavior). Best thing to do is to not pay any attention to it - people who treat real people that way are just not worth thinking or worrying about. Colin has a reputation in the OUAT fandom for being genuinely lovely, easy to work with, and very welcoming and inclusive towards everyone on set. The people who hate on him have very petty and pathetic excuses for it, but there's nothing that can really be done about those assholes unfortunately.

Ah.Got it.So pathetic.If someone dislikes/hates a character,that's fine since it's fictional and not real.The real problem occurs when you can't separate your feelings for the character and real person.I bet 90% of the hate he gets is from those delusional SwanQueen Fandom.Their crack ship will never sail and now that they've realized it,they're becoming desperate.So sad.I actually feel sorry for them.

Exactly. If people want to hate a character then whatever, it's up to them, but hating on an actor because you don't like the character they play is just completely unacceptable. And yeah the SQ BAs have definitely been coming out of the woodwork - I don't have a problem with the SQers who accept that their ship isn't going to happen but still enjoy the ship anyway, it's the ones who are dead set on them being endgame that are the problem. They'll tear down anyone who dares to tell them otherwise, even the cast and writers. Obviously not all the SQers are like that, but the ones who are.... well they're very loud -_-

Ithuria X I simply ignore them coz i know CS is canon and will always be no matter how loud some section of SQers are.Screaming at the top of their lungs won't achieve a thing lol.Let them remain in their delusional bubble and after the series finale,they'll all eat crow.

I love Colin so much omfg my baby😭 only I can't ever see him in real life because I live in England, and there are NEVER OUAT conventions in England. It is like a celebrity desert here... Paris is the nearest place he is coming to me 😔
