It's hard to imagine that back in season 1, NO one would of imagined a scene like this. But it shows how much Emma and Regina's friendship have grown.

Yeah, it is. The dagger is a terrifying temptation for the wielder and a nightmare for whoever the current Dark One is. Regina is an esp. dangerous holder, because she natural leans toward dominating others anyway. Her comment "I could get used to this." IS funny...but it's also Nightmare Fuel, when you think about what that dagger COULD be used to do.

If you grab it and point it toward the Dark One, they freeze, it's the default command, you don't need to say anything. It's how Ana stopped Rumple without knowing what the dagger did, how Belle stopped Rumple from crushing Hook's heart without saying anything, and how Regina froze Emma.

Because Regina didn't do anything more than she did with it. She could have done so, so much more, and at some stages in her life, she _would_ have. Also, Regina is right about the danger of Emma using dark power, as they both note, that's why Emma gave her the dagger in the first place. Though Regina is far from an idea choice, nobody else in the gang is any better. David or Snow would be better...IF trhey weren't her parents, but they are. Henry would be better...except that he's too young and her son. Etc.

Huntress4455 Rape? Mind rape? This may be 3 years late, but that’s going too far. Comparing this to any form of rape is out of order. This is nothing like the curse, and clearly not to point out the obvious but Regina, didn’t intend to make Emma shut up. That’s why they both were surprised.
