I felt two aesthetic shocks with Storm the first time I watched it without knowing anything about it : 1 the Otyken artistic project as a whole (music, craft, music, taïga life, spirituality) which is so needed today and 2 Goddess Azyan as a world class female singer, a real diva, the best in the world. Bisous de Montréal.

Greetings from Scotland! When it comes to ethnic folk music - these guys are my favourite group! Interesting you mentioned they remind you of some of your Canadian ethnic music because the Chulym people believe some of their ancient ancestors crossed into North America and it's so obvious to see the similarities between their cultures! It's unfortunate that they are barely holding onto this culture in Siberia. The band members live in small villages along the Chulym river in the taiga of Krasnoyarsk Krai in Russia. Just another example of the enormous diversity of cultures among the people known as "Russians" to us. Can I please ask for a reaction to another OTYKEN song, "Legend" kzread.info/dash/bejne/poyA0bJymba7Zbw.html ---------- Привет из Шотландии!

Thanks Peter. Although I’ve had few views of Otyken I’ve already had a few requests already and I look forward to reaching to more.

@@CanadianReacts This shamanic style music really appeals to me, like when Diana Ankudinova does her Shamanic vocals - something very primeval about it! You also mentioned Throat Singing? This phenomenon is heard all around the world in various styles, very difficult to master! God the world is absolutely full of interesting music and vocal techniques isn't it!

@@CanadianReacts Yes he does! I really wish I liked his singing style, but I just can't get into it! I appreciate he has an incredible vocal talent, just doesn't do anything for me. I tend to support young female singers and unique sounds/music but not inspired by male singers! 🤔

I know I've suggested reactors try Otyken - I'm not sure if I did this under one of your Diana reactions? I think they're absolutely fantastic. Otyken have released, in the last day or two, another video called "Phenomenon" - kzread.info/dash/bejne/oHhlyJOCkdGWm6Q.html If you would prefer a live performance, try "Wild Girls" - kzread.info/dash/bejne/pGqeltqglpTNk8Y.html
