That entire Pongfinity vs TtD match was one of the most entertaining videos I have ever seen. It was hilarious 😂

Agreed
Yeah that went as expected. As pointed out Dan is a slow and safe player, at no point in the match did he have even a little bit chance. Total control for Otto.

Good analysis, I agree, but Dan being a slow and safe player does not mean he's inferior to Otto, it just means Otto's level is higher. IMHO, I think Otto is a lazy, indolent player, his level is amazing, but he could be far better. When I was a player, I hated losing to this type of player that gives you the feeling you have a chance to beat them.

@@Solomonsjc not inferior but if you want to have any chance against a player like Otto you have to put him under pressure, make him move around and must importantly not give him there. Dan hits the ball late which gives Otto all the time he needs to pick his shots.

Does anyone know What rubbers and blade Otto uses
That commentator looks kinda similar to the red player
Please make a video explaining why otto's heavy slow spinny loop is actually heavy backspin. I just can't grasp how he does it.
@dsweetcakes

When he hits it he goes under it, just like you would in a reverse pendulum serve. It's not that hard in practice but in matches it's another task
I'm kinda wondering about the back spin banana shot from Sensei! Where's the contact point and what's the movement? Is it basically like a reverse pendulum swing disguised as top spin?

@@_.Madness._ I mean, you got a point but, even if he contacted the ball from the bottom, the ball spin is the same, it's spinning upward, it's hard to not see Otto not hitting the ball a backspin and pulling his racket quickly without noticing

@@MSBN2016 Actually you're right, what I said was nonsense. Probably no spin as Otto said and Dan closed his racket too much expecting topspin.

Hi mikka
I don't understand how Dan manages to have zero power on all of his shots while also having a very limited amount of spin. You can't win in table tennis when you have to play a 10 shot rally instead of what should have been a third ball put-away every time.
@CalvinAytch
Ай бұрын
To be honest, playing safe and steady will get you a lot farther than you might think. But as you said, there's a certain level where you need to develop some penetrating power to get through your opponent because they will put it past you if you don't take the chance.
@alk672
Ай бұрын
@@CalvinAytch yeah of course, if you're starting out - sure you want to prioritize consistency and quality over power, but this dude is on a team and stuff, he has to be able to win points. All his shots are done with grunts as if he's putting power into them, but the ball barely moves. Like what the hell, how is it even real.
Good player though Dan is, his game is a bit predictable and one-dimensional and that seems to find him out against quality players. He has a technically 'tidy' game but he's rarely going to catch you out with anything he does.
Dan has zero kill shots
Dan is a youtuber, otto is a table tennis player. Period
Dan is like me ... too much up in his head about doing the right technique instead of just flowing with whatever works. We need to loosen up our wrists and stop trying to force the body movement. There will be no transfer of power to the ball unless the timing and the relaxed power of whipping through the ball, no matter how much body you throw into the shot.
Guys, I know who you are. I don't need to see your faces at the bottom of the screen
please pin me i am a big fan❤❤🔥
Dan plays to soft, thats also why he only has one win in the british league. For a good olayer its to easy to counter/out pace him.
That's the reason why I stopped playing... Table tennis today is all about suicidal shots trying to finish the point everytime, not constructing the point. There's rarely a rally... Not enjoyable at all
Dan is kind of average
Pin me pls
Dan weak player 😵💫
