Them and Minks are my favorite animals!. They're just too cute and if trained young would/do make great pets!. You just need to study up on their habits before hand because they aren't like owning cats or dogs. I've owned before a raccoon, whitetail deer, coyote and skunk!. Not all at once but over time and each one has taught me a lot about them and how we as humans really need to give them more credit than just calling them wild or a pest!. They have their own personalities just like cats and dogs but kinda more interesting in a unique way.. Anyways I agree with you good sir and I hope you have a great week!. 🙏🙏🍻

They are incredibly cute. However, we must always remember that they are not "pets", they are and will always be wild animals who belong to their natural habitats, and they should always enjoy life in nature with other members of their species. There shouldn't be people who make them spend their lives trapped in cages or in the 70m2 of an apartment just to satisfy their desire. If you love otters, catch a plane and see them enjoying themselves where they naturally live

Canada is the same way, you can't keep any native species as a pet, they have recently restricted exotic as well but until recently I could have had a tiger from India but not a chipmunk from my back yard. Otters real cute when hand raised, even wild ones look cute but if they feel threatened they can be quite ferocious, the change is unbelievable until you've seen it.
