The otter babies are following mom and practicing walking.
They are growing every day. And finally, they excreted them themself for the first time! Until now, they couldn't put them out on their own because they didn't have the strength, and mom stimulated their tinges. It's about time we told them where to go to the toilet.

Many mammals do "scruffing" (cats are well-known for it). But Wasabi and Namida are making it _very_ clear they're not happy about it. 😅

Initially I thought u wrote the word "faeces". I thought u even found their excretment cute. Then I realised the word was "faces".
When you picked her up and put her at the entrance she was like "Thanks Grandma!"

@@donnahickman9350 It absolutely is. But sometimes I think Namida in particular is just "talking". Small-Clawed Otters are known to be _really_ vocal - 12 distinct sounds _minimum_ (that's a lot for non-primate)

The otter babies are potty trained!! They are something else. They have probably watched mom and, Odashi. Such sweet and, smart girls!🦦🦦🦦🦦❤

Not potty trained yet...just able to excrete themselves

@@panickedjerzeegrl7622 That in itself is a milestone since up til now Otsuyu had to induce it by licking them. Hopefully otters are easier to train than dogs.

@@Soufriere84 on another channel that I also watch about Otters (from Japan), they showed how the Otters go to the bathroom. It's in a corner that has a special large pad on the floor. And the Otters use the same place every day. It might be Hana & Kotaro, channel Kotsumet.

@@glamdolly30 Even so, I think it's at least a little unfortunate that Loutre-mama chose to sequester Odashi with Otsuyu rather than Oage (the father). I get _why_ - Otsuyu is very sensitive (neurotic) and _does not_ like being apart from her twin. Loutre-mama said Otsuyu prefers Odashi's company to Oage's.

@@Soufriere84 That's interesting, I didn't know the babies' father was part of the household. Does he live in the same house? Seems a shame if he doesn't get to mix with the females, and of course meet his baby girls. Are male otters known to be unpredictable or aggressive? I've seen two males on this channel, one called Bob and another boy whose name I forget (there's a video of him being walked on a lead at a beach, and also at a restaurant - in both videos a small child takes a shine to him). Don't think his name was Oage but I may be wrong? Seems like the owner has male/female separation going on for some reason (possibly contraception!)
