SF operatives have to conceal their identity for security reasons and the safety of their families. In reality, they likely wouldn't have got of the plane in such an obvious manner in front of the world's press. In the UK, when the embassy siege was ended by the SAS in the 80s, they refused to be paraded in front of the press by the Home Secretary.

@@jsp7202They probably only got one or two takes of the plane taking off with the extras in the foreground as well, and that’s at most. Sounds harsh I know, but if I was the director I would have fired them on the spot, it’s pretty selfish to ruin all that setup time by smiling directly at the camera, slightly lessens a great shot.

That may be, but it’s a damn good one. Both Top Gun films are US Airforce propaganda and yet no one kicks up a fuss about that.
