I love this town, when I was a child I spent whole summers in my uncle's apartment very close to the seashore. It is in this town that I lived the best moments of my childhood and every time I go back there I fill myself with happiness and energy, it is truly a magical place

Beautiful city! So clean and bright, reflecting the sun. I can't get over the tile streets, hardly any asphalt or concrete, unlike here in the states. I love your tours! Seeing Italy through your eyes! And thank you for describing what we are seeing and the history of the city. So very sad about the massacre. Unfortunately it is still happening today.

With the 97F beautiful summers you need solid granite tiles on the streets...asphalt would melt!! Italy is like a giant Disneyland, but just 100x better and real life. The Roman/Medieval narrow streets turned out to be just perfect for Tourists!... no cars in those areas.

This is the first time I've ever heard of or seen Otranto and OH MY GOD it's stunning 😱😱😱😱😱

Yeah, this was my first time there. I really want to go back with my family to go swimming for the weekend. It is a great place to enjoy Italy with the Italians.

Awesome tour! Thanks for the video. 2 minutes before the end, a jazz festival was mentioned. I'd sure like to have a link to that. I'm a big Jazz fan and I'd definitely attend this one.

Yeah, I really enjoyed it there. The heat was exhausting though. I should have gone swimming while I was there...but needed to get back to Lecce to film an evening walk later that day. Glad you enjoyed the video. I hope to go back to Otranto with my family and just spend the day swimming and enjoying the town.

This is the city where in 1480 20.000 Muslims as an advance force landed, in an attempt to conquer Italy, had they won the Italy that millions of visitors art lovers visitors come yo admire would not exist today.

I know there's no connection between graffiti & personal safety, but its absence definitely conveys, even if only subconsciously, a sense of security to visitors & residents. A place that's well cared for is just more welcoming, especially to families. Otranto Public Works Dept: A+💯!👏

What is the music you use at the beginning? Like the video.

The first time i heard something about Otranto was through the History books, i knew this city was attacked many times by Turkish pirats and so on , people underwent umpublished issues not to mention massacres , also inside the churches, so i`m sure this place is a living heroes legacy . Yet it`s the first time ever i can appreciate what about sightseeings and general landscapes . Let me tell you , the quality of your footage , the marvellous whole exposures brought me now the idea that Otranto has a lot of more enjoying stuffs that Rome itself . Your snapshots are hearthbreaking . Your work is outstanding , neverless than a luxury for one`s eyes so i simply wanted to thank you really a lot bacause you`re certainly arising the name of a city which`s currently underrated , there is beauty in every corner .
