OTR VS OILFIELD TRUCKING
Oilfield trucking vs OTR trucking which is harder? In this video I will take you out into the oilfield to show not only what it looks like but also what oilfield truck drivers deal with on a day to day basis.
Oilfield trucking and working in the the oilfield is a tough challenging career choice. But in my opinion Oilfield trucking is way harder than OTR trucking!

Thanks for making a video on the question i asked. I still have to wait till i get this health issue i have fixed before making any kind of job switch
Buck jackson rd off 128 was one of the worst lease roads.. its alot better now that they black top that road. Don't forget to hang your boots on the fence:) Iv worked this area of menton/orla/pecos tx for the last 12 years now. Oilfield has been good to me. Thinking of finally moving bk home in AZ and hitch in and out.. your videos caught my attention on the vac truck...
Great information 👍
I went up the 285 yesterday, had to wait for a little while in between Orla and Loving because of an accident. Got through it and kept on to Artesia. Then to top it off I got to enjoy some nice thick fog all the way back to Odessa 😂
any advice on internationals finding luck getting employed. obviously not many companies would sponsor work visas. love the vids 💪🏼
Hey man what companies do you recommend to haul frac sand for in the west texas area?
If only you made this video couple weeks ago. Lol I'm new to here and been finding out the hard way lol.
Nothing worse than always having to back up to a loading dock, or between two trailers with no extra room, when you're a newbie. Then add a van trailer. From what I hear, those small tanker trailers give much better visibility when backing. For the brief time that I lasted, over the road, while backing into a single space between trailers, I managed to get an overheated clutch alarm, on two separate occasions - on an automatic!
I like 285 it goes though the ancient glacial lake
What company do you recommend? I’m moving to Texas in January but struggling to find work out there in the sand
Question: I'm in Canada so it probably doesn't apply exactly the same...how difficult is it to get a job as a vacuum truck driver, hauling frac sand Or an oil hauler for someone with a CDL but no experience. I'm looking into getting a job and have been watching many of your videos for the past few days. Thanks for all the information, greatly appreciated.
Hi Wero, I was wondering what the most popular truck is being used out on the oilfields where you've been.
Hi! Loco, i'm interested in this field, do you have any idea how to start ? my backgrownd is 22 years as a diesel mechanic and 6 years OTR as O/O with my own authority and all endorsments on my CDL but I got not idea how to start in the oil field
Not having any luck reaching out for job employment any suggestions
Which one pays more ?
I stay in Hobbs in the works of getting my cdl now at 20, any advice where the money is around here?
Are lease roads DOT regulated? Also I lived in Midland Texas for two years and a truck driver I knew said oilfield were had alot of ups and downs and was less stable than OTR or even regional driving?

Yeah it’s very unstable, but you are paid more than OTR. To your question, no lease roads are not regulated, mostly because most lease roads are privately owned by land owners.
Where would a good place to start? I’ve got 9 months exp otr. Most I see online is 2yr exp. Thanks
Question could you name some companies a new driver can apply at
Can you drive in the oil field with an automatic restriction on your license? Or do most companies still use standard transmissions?

You can, but most companies have standard transmissions. Your job opportunities will be very limited.

No problem! 😉
Thanks for what you do, man. Would you be willing to consult with me by phone or video call, for an hour or so, about the industry and the various positions available to a new CDL driver? I'd pay quite a bit for a half hour or an hour of your time.
How can I get a free CDL fast by a company

No one really cares about what you think! If you feel like you have to be an ass in the comments, don’t watch. Oh by the way, thanks for the view. I still get paid even from people like you! 😊
