Otis was not only a fantastic blues pianist, he also had an incredible voice. He will always be sadly missed.
Otis's blues piano is simply the best!
Old school blues . 🥃 Salud! From 🇦🇷

"Otis played the deepest #blues we ever heard - He'll play forever in our hearts". @ivery5000 👠👠 RIP 🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
A lesson in Chicago blues piano! RIP #Otis you are being remembered errday!
This is BEAUTIFUL BLUES MUSIC!!! Thanks much for posting. Cheers!
james cotton said it, johnny winter said it , otis spann said it, the blues had a baby and they named it rock and roll
I loved to watch Otis Spanner play the piano at Peppers Lounge in Chicago years ago,.He played with Muddy Waters and James Cotton. He died at the age of 40, of cancer.

@ I got someone better feel em in your heart listen and remember!!!
This is the blues that makes me feel less blue. It's a beautiful paradox. ✌️😎
música e' coisa de Deus
By far my favorite Blues Piano player. His album with Peter Greens Fleetwood Mac is raw with a perfect small town sound jam session feel. He is truely amazing from is playing to his voice. I wish I could have heard him play with Micheal Bloomfield, another Chicago Blues artitist. Its a dying art so thank goodness for you tube.

GhostGamingInc. Yeah, the Biggest Thing Since Colossus is so amazing, that's the one you mean, right? By the way, thank you, JIMBLUESROCK! "Blind Man" is really fine! Nothing here that isn't fine, but this one is beyond words.

Adevărat! Absolut superb!
More Otis please ! I'll never forget the first time I ever heard a song by him " country boy" on a compilation blues album called power blues back in the early 70's
damm awesome album from blues great otis spann. one hell of a blues piano player. if it was not for the blues we would not have had rock and roll or heavy metal. so rock and metal owe a lot to the blues. black man created rock and roll remember that. this is just magic i love otis's voice too.

modern metal seems to lack blues,if you ask me.
Mola cantidad. Qué buen sonido. Auténtico blues
Helluva voice on Lucille Jenkins who married Otis in the year this came out becoming Lucille Spann. (Tracks 5 and 6).
Love it
I still remember this album cover from when I was a lad of 17. Gee...even Black Guys get depressed. Did not know that. ("This World's In A Tangle.")
The last track jumps 3 times!
good..thanks.

Sounds like Buddy to me ! I was just going to make the same comment !!! 😉
They should sculpt a likeness of Otis Spann on Mount Rushmore, along with Muddy, B.B., Professor Longhair, Miles, Coltrane, Wes, Aretha, Billie and so many others. Note: Cryin' Time doesn't represent Spann's best work.
