Otis Series 1 Machine Room, Floor Lockout Demo, 3 Different Shaft Views | Elevator Video

Ойын-сауық

DISCLAIMER: Elevator shafts and machine rooms are very very dangerous and you can get severely injured or even killed in them. DO NOT enter or go into a machine room without permission, shafts are very dangerous, don't attempt to enter the elevator shaft. Also don't use elevator keys without permission, especially floor lockouts. I had permission to do all of this, you will see that I'm accompanied by a manager of the building. With that being said, I hope you enjoy or enjoyed the video (depending if you read my description before or after the video)
This video involves 3 different elevator shaft views, looking at the pit from the lowest floor, looking at the elevator car top, and looking down the shaft to the pit. I also demonstrate unlocking and locking off a floor, and at the end, we take a look at the machine room with listening to the motor pump the hydraulic oil and listening to it drain the oil back into the tank. CLS for more videos. (CLS: Comment, Like, and Subscribe!)

your references to `110 power' is actually the traveller cable. signalling, power, and sometimes coax/Ethernet.

Well it's really for the lights and fan, the rest of the cpu is on a different switch. That way when they turn it off, they can keep the 110 power on so they don't freak out passengers during a rescue.

Some elevators have windows to where you don’t have to turn that shaft light on in the daylight but when it’s dark you have to turn the elevator shaft light on

@@noahharris2260 it varies on every elevator. Most of the time if the elevator is sitting on a restricted floor the door open function won’t work. Sometimes, but not always.

Those are Dover Impulse elevators, Some of them are in their schools, even my school has one, DISCLAIMER: You must have permission to operate elevator, You have to work here, If you were a student and you are handicapped you must ask a nurse to have permission to use those, If you are not authorized, and you try enter inside an elevator, their are 2 things to try to enter, one another student entering and trying to rush in or 2, You have a elevator key and you use it to operate, These keys *CAN BE CONSIDERED A BURGLARY TOOL!* If you use the elevator without the authorization you can have detention, 2nd time is Suspensions, If you are not the student and you try to enter a elevator you can get kicked out, And they may call the police on you, So Do not use elevators without Authorization, Even in a school. Public elevators are Fine.
