Love this version! On Patreon the BTS showed Ren holding the mic stand upright with his feet after duct taping it in position. Was car jenga to get it all in and the laptop with the inputs all in the footwell. They did so well!

Just saw the BTS for this. The microphone was on a stand but there were problems with it, so they used gaffer tape and Ren's feet (!!!) to keep it in place while he performed !

I loved the original song/video because the production was so good. But the vocals on the acoustic version allow him more space to express the emotion of the song. He has also released an instrumental version (which I think is just the original version with his vocals removed) - I love this because you really get to appreciate the "backing" track

I pretty much always prefer the acoustic. increased clarity and the nuance in Ren's delivery shine through.

This version with Ren singing the Vera Hall lyrics just hits deeper and harder. Hands down the acoustic version is better, as is the case with all of Ren's tracks where an acoustic version is available.

Here for it! As good as his music videos are, I almost always prefer his live acoustic versions. It's easier to feel what he's singing when I can see him feeling it too.

As an artists perspective, I think the drive symbolizes the journey Ren went through. At the beginning of the video they were really far away from the tower. And then they had a few detours, literally, but they made it in the end. ❤

There is a great bts on his patreon. The stand holder broke so Ren is literally holding the stand down with his foot the whole time. Lol

I love these acoustic versions so much. And doing it in the back of a car? Bananas.

This version was filmed a month before the other version! Ren really wedged in the back seat of a Tesla..for quiet. Had a pink neon tight fixed to back of the driver's seat. Plus his long legs,feet, much, computer leads and wires. Live both versions, but acoustic is the powerhouse fir me. Kai is filming, Josh driving. Must be dead of night in Feb cold. Almost no traffic.

The original has points you see different emotion in different phrases . First one was " the kiss of cold steel " This one where he heard beauty in the music with this gift of gold. And pure gratuity in his acceptance that he is getting better. Whether it the divine or the divine ability to make man intelligent enough to figure out how to help him.. That much exposure shows vulnerability of the thought of going back to being tortured by a invisible force !! With a little remorse and gratitude in his expressions !! I completely disagree and I have Lymes disease, which makes me Judge Judy about Troubles and my opinion is the only one that matters

Prefer other version... I LOVE Rens acoustics but the vocal delivery on this one didn't connect for me. Other version hit hard.
