Other FOREIGNERS & VLOGGERS are the HARDest people TO DEAL WITH in the Philippines

Ойын-сауық

#philippines #angelescity #life
I knew before moving to the Philippines that other Foreigners were going to be the hardest people to deal with and they are. Their set core of values beliefs and attitude is engrained in themselves and when brought together in a 3rd World Country with other Nationalities it can get interesting.
Come listen to what I see and think about other foreigners and vloggers here in ANGELES CITY.

So, it is July 28 2024 today. I worked at Clark AFB in 1983. F. Marcos was President and the exchange rate was 25/1. Beer was 2.5 Pesos, Marlboro Red were 3.2. Uncle Sam had me living in a hotel just off base called The Jet Hotel, The Third Eye, Mirrors, were a couple of popular night spots. Manila was interesting too. Different than AC. much more to do. Travelld out to Puerta Galera via Batangas. I was just 24 then and adventurous, the people I met were so nice, I had learnt the language somewhat and they really respected me for that. All in all. I never witnessed the kindness anywhere else again. Living in Boston now for 26 years and retired, thinking about returning, maybe this time for good. I miss these wonderfull people.

The problem is there are too many vloggers churning out the same stuff all the time. One trip down Walking Street is enough to show what is happening. The idea of being a good vlogger is that you are also a good content creator, most of these vloggers aren't. Or have a niche for example, like you do, show various accommodations, each vlog different . Ace Bachelor Cool is a good example, same stuff all the time, how many vlogs can he do walking down Walking Street and hope to keep viewers engaged. He's been in the Philippines a few months and thinks he's an expert.

You hit it on the head. I live in the Philippines 8 months and USA the other 4. Philippine people are mostly wonderful. You always have the ones that give you a foreigner price compared to regular price. The Provence is much different then Angeles. We go to Angeles to golf and shop at SM. As the Provence does not have these. The foreigners in the Provence I have met are mostly cheap Charlie's that use there country status to step on fillapinas. They could never do it in their country.. So I try to avoid them. I love the Philippines and am way more happy there then in America now.

Both you and Brian before his move to the province make good videos. you show the beautiful side of the Philippines. Papi's Bar and Chill where I had the very best Pizza ever, Tuesday I went to Papi's Street Eats had a great Chilli Dog with a nice cold beer all the staff so friendly. Tuesday evening I got to meet your Anna and now a proud owner of both your mug and Anna's mug (got to wrap it up safe when I go home to the UK) they are souvenirs of my visits . And of course I would never have got to meet Adrian if it were not for you and Brian, There were far to many beautiful ladies in Meiko's Tuesday Well I enjoy your video's and Ann's also so we get the best of two views of the same situation, so keep up the great work

I gotta say that the person that complained about how his breakfast was prepared and boycotted the place really did a 360 before his departure to the province. That tells me one thing, his true feelings came shining through the last month or so and that he was the guy I thought he was all along. Remember I had 2 bars there in AC and can pretty much read right through people. Heard all, seen all and was correct in my assumptions more often than not. Don’t understand why people can’t just be real and not try to be someone they’re not. Competition to be larger than life doesn’t fly there and some learn the hard way. I agree. To be honest, there are not many foreigners where I live. But they usually leave me cringing. Bad. It’s hard to explain, but it’s like the arrogance levels are through the roof. And maybe self entitlement? Idk, I’m sure everyone’s experience is different and this is just mine. Regardless, we will never live in hot spots where there are so many.

I think you are on the right track Chubz, although - for balance - the odd , inclusive, walk down Fields or up Perimeter Road with a sensible commentary would be good. Much of the insulting vlogs are just click-bate. Angeles does tend to attract an eclectic crowd. As they say, if you can't say anything nice, better not to say anything at all!

The biggest problem in the Philippines is the level of corruption, but if you know how to deal with this it can become manageable. But was you said Angeles City, like Pattaya, Thailand, etc., these places attract a wide range of people. Some very nice and good and some very bad. This can be applied to both Filipinos and Foreigners, so you really need to protect yourself here. I believe the most important thing I have learned in 25 years, is keep your personal business to yourself, really do not just trust people. Your best friend, one day, could be 100% against you the next. People need to understand the Philippines is a poor country, so always know what is around you. But you are right a big problem is other Expats, I would never partner with other Expats here, I have seen it lead to many problems. Another big Expat problem is the issues with the girls. Too many guys think they have a claim or a relationship with a girl when they really don't. Not all girls here are working the bars or working in the entertainment business. Too many times I have seen Expats who think a working girl is their girlfriend, and one of their friends go into her bar and pays a work release, knowing or not knowing about their friend. It results in a major battle that no one wins. You can have a very fun, enjoyable life here in the Philippines, if you don't check your brain at the airport. Being right here is not only really worth it in the end, just walk away. Let the other person think they won, in the end you're the winner.

I do fear for the philippines with the way the west is going as many people are looking for a way out due to the destruction of western society The philippines now has become so popular, and the fact it's cheap to live could be swamped with foreigners.
