Saw this lovely lady perform on OTEP's first Ozzfest tour and have been a fan ever since. Saw her perform again the following year and was lucky enough to chat and get a pic with her after the show. She is super cool to her fans! A true under-rated gem!

She's actually really fucking great live.. video can't capture the true sound, presence or energy. Its intense and I loved it both times I saw her. One of the best performances I've seen. And I've seen Rammstein live.... so yeah. She's great.

OTEP for president!!!!! My all time best female vocalist!! Love you Otep!

Do not judge the band or her if you have not seen her perform in person. I have seen them live and they put on the best live performance out of everybody that I have seen live. They are wonderful.

Ever seen Tool live? Lol. But I totally agree. No one can fkn touch Otep Shamaya. She’s so fkn solid live. Her live spoken word poetry is a fkn treat as well.

One of the best if not THE best shows I've ever been to was Killith Fair. It was Otep, Kittie and Crisis. Fucking chicks in metal makes me SO HAPPY. I wish there was more support for each other instead of dissing each other.

I was at the 4/4/13 show @ Peabody's in Cleveland and I cannot wait for OTEP to come back, because I will be there, even if I have to climb out of my own casket and crawl!

Justin Filth All of their albums with the exception of Hydra is pure Nu-Metal. Hydra has a mix of genres but the overall feeling instrumentally is more metalcore.

Alize Rodriguez No... it's not metalcore... and Otep mixes Nu-Metal, Industrial Metal, Gothic Metal, and plays on the Extreme Metal genres. And the drummer is fine.
