In this video, we do a review all the OTC brand tools we own. OTC is a well-known and respected name in the Tool Industry. They make quality tools that are at a price point affordable to most DIY Auto Mechanics. When searching for tools to add to your tool arsenal, we highly recommend you consider the OTC brand.
**In the video, we did forget to mention one tool we have also used and that’s the Universal Belt Tension Gauge. We used it in our Drive Belt Replacement video and our Timing Belt video. It’s a handy tool to own so you can get your belts tensioned to the accurate amount instead of just going by feel.

Thanks John and you're very welcome. The right tools for the job makes a big difference and I've had good luck with the OTC tools I've purchased. I was steered to the OTC brand based off the positive reviews they get online. As time went on and I needed different tools, I noticed OTC made a lot of the tools I was looking for and they were at a price point that I could afford. So, I kept buying the OTC brand and I'm happy I did.

I used the little puller on the front end kit to pull the rear window wiper arm off as it was corroded to the shaft and did not want to ruin the gear box. I backed the nut off to where it was flush with the end of the shaft so I would not ruin the threads . Came off with a pop, like the cars out front..... On a side note, I replaced a cracked flex plate, it had 3" left. lol... The inaudible noise it was making as it was slowly self destructing must have been messing with the knock sensor. It ran so much better after the flex plate was replaced. Someone had made a YT vid titled "You think you have a rod knock on your 3.4, it could be a cracking flex plate" sounded just like mine. Glad it was the flex plate and not a rod knock.

  • @TimmyTheToolman

For jack stands, these 6 Ton Jack Stands amzn.to/2MM91w6 are just like the AC Delco ones I own and they get great reviews. I'd pick up a set of these. As for a hydraulic floor jack, Harbor Freight makes some nice and affordable ones. This is a good one: www.harborfreight.com/3-ton-low-profile-professional-rapid-pump-floor-jack-black-64780.html You have to also choose the right place to lift the vehicle. Trying to lift from the frame rails that run from the front to the rear isn't the right spot. You can lift the whole front end via the cross member that the steering rack bolts to. You can lift the individual front sides from the cross member lifts point your operator's manual suggests. For the rear, you can lift of the whole rear end by getting under the center of the rear axle.
