This was probably the best edited karate styled fighting scene ive ever seen in my life. though i don't think it was very realistic the guy who's ass got kicked stands back up halfway through, it was very well produced. i myself practice karate for several years now but this is obviously a much more intresting perspective than the sparring scenes I've seen in the dojo. Thanks Vlad, awesome as always. Osu!

Along with Shorin-Ryu, Goju-Ryu, and Judo. But thanks to Gen Choi having a 2d Nidan in Shotokan, that was the greatest influence besides the Korean styles fused in TKD's creation.

Very good❤👏❤👏❤👏❤👏
HELL YEA VLAD!
This is already a classic - masterpiece !
Waaaay better than mortal kombat new movie. I wish ufc fights were something like that. Or, ar least, karate tournament fights were moro technical than just jumping and kikicking regardless of technic and form. The beauty of any art is in its details. For karate, its the way a technic is performed. Take that away in any art of fighting, and it becomes brawling with super punchs and super kicks, but looses its core and some power from the execution standards. A lot of people dont understand that theres actually a reason behind each form, and in shotokan, its to give power and stability (trough muscle sinergy with contraction of alot of diferent muscles). Great vídeo!!!!!
@OverdriveRSSZ
2 жыл бұрын
Also, why a lot of fighters keep always "jumping" today in everyfight?! I know you cant just stand there without moving, but its not a shuffle contest. And wheres the kiai in most fights?! That "yelling" has power, believe it or not, as much as a tiger or a lion when they roar, or a warcry on a roar, or a football team's chant or a simple thank you. Sound is a form of energy manifestation too. And a kiai DOES sends a shockwave which comunicate with organic matter and atoms at molecular level. Just because you cant see it, doesnt mean it isnt there. For exemple, you cant see music, but even so, it has the power to quickly change your mood and or spirit. Fghting is becomming more of a brawl this days. This vídeo should of been mandatory for every karate student to watch and take notes. It is just me or does anybody else wish there was some contest within fights till knockout or forfeit without grappling till time out, but with technic like this?! A pure impact and beauty of fighting to honor the great old ones that tought us their form of art.
Cinematography, especially in the beginning, reminds me of Kurosawa.

True practitioners of the art of karate who were trained well who understand the application behind the kata, and people say that karate (traditional martial arts) "don't work in the real world " They just don't understand that virtually every so called traditional martial art has been tested in real life /death situations not for prize $$ or some mma sports competition belt.
@hoangnguyen6569

Jason Blakely every kata is made from imagining situations where you get attacked so it works,but you have to figure out the application of the technique first,when you have,you'll see that even MMA was born from katas

They fuckin work, just attack first. Self defense is best preemptively
@MGSBigBoss77
6 жыл бұрын
Thank you, clever man you are. Self defense certainly doesn't mean wait for an attack first then react? Best defense sometimes is to counter an attack you just know is going to happen, from a violent attacker. By being preemptive and taking the initiative and striking the attacker and getting out of harms way after you've disabled or taken them out prior!
@hoangnguyen6569
6 жыл бұрын
MGSBigBoss77 imo,always strike first when u feel the guy is about to hit you,if not,i'd try to defuse the situation while looking out for weapons he may have,friends who may help him and gang up on me,etc.Self defense is more than hitting first
