I don't care what anyone says. The Osmonds are among the greatest talents of all time! There are precious few acts that can get on stage after 50 years and still captivate an audience like The Osmonds can!

I have a Jewish buddy who works the cruise ships as a guitarist, and he's told me that whatever your opinion of the Osmonds and their religion, they are the nicest and easiest professionals to work with, and his gig with them was an utter joy. This coming from one of the snarkiest and cynical, athiest intellectuals alive.

I had never heard one way or another about their humility or lack thereof but I was HOPING they were as you described. I'm not LDS but I've worked for LDS owned companies with many of the employees also of that persuasion. I made good friends there and liked associating with them because they are typically very family oriented as I am. Having 10 children myself, when I lived in Morman country I was always asked if I was LDS. Living in Texas I am always asked if I am Catholic. LOL! (Not Catholic either).

I really wanted Donnie to hit those high notes. But I wish I could still hit them too! It's been a long time since I practiced any form of religion. Born and raised a Catholic my best friend growing up was Lutheran. I used to go to his church and he also went to mine. Eventually I fell away from organized religion completely. I believe in a simple theory, tread lightly, be kind (if you can) and mostly, don't hate! I couldn't tell you what the definition of a Mormon is and frankly I do not care. These are beautiful people who have entertained us for a long time. I love the music of Osmonds, even the little sister... ;)

To the Osmonds, if you ever read this, I know that a lot of your lives have been hard what with losing a normal childhood, the constant performing and getting it perfect, and on and on, as you said in the video "Being an Osmond" but think of your entire lives as a mission. Some great missionaries also had hard lives, i.e., Paul, Peter, etc. Okay their lives were harder, but you know what I mean. Think of the good you have done for the Church!

What do you know about religion? Don't judge others, lest you be judged. They have a commitment to their God and His religion, they have been putting out great music for 50 years now. ONLY family in history doing this for this long and they have paid the price for fame in many ways, they still insist on bringing music and joy to people worldwide. Public is blessed beyond words for their example, music, love to all.
