I bought the album when it was first released (we had actual albums to play on turn tables back in my day & I am 73 yrs old) I have always loved this song , it's now 2024 and it majesme think of so many who have bee exiled from their home or just left home for other reasons but it also makes me think of my beloved family (mom,dad, sister and brother) who have passed away and I imagine them being welcomed to their celestial home, their heavenly home by the creator and Master musician GOD Himself.🙏🏽

I think this music must be play in our Airport especially during Xmas.🇬🇭🇬🇭🇬🇭🇬🇭🇬🇭🇬🇭🇬🇭🇬🇭

I heard my 5yo daughter humming this song, I immediately stopped whatever I was doing and asked her to sing it, I couldn’t hold back my tears. I told her it’s my favorite song of all time, she smiled and said it was taught in school.

This song was written for the Ghanaians that were forced out of Nigeria by government somewhere mid 70s. The government ordered all of them to leave the country within days or else..... Osibisa welcomed them home to Ghana Awesome song! My (Nigerian) father always played this when we were young. I still play it for my kids 2021 (7&4 y.o)

Took me a long time to listen to this song again, my husband loved this song, when he passed away in 2019 we played it at his funeral, with the Ghanaian flag draped over his coffin, he would have been so proud, he never got to go back to Ghana in later life. Miss you. You are home now. X

I just can’t forget this song... I always attribute it to my mother who has been gone to the spirit world since I was a baby with the hope that I will see her again one day and am a grown lady now 😢😢 and I know I will one day meet her and we will be happy and gay This song forever remains in my heart ❤️

This song for those who are left motherland and have been living in a foreign land. I listened the song first time in the year 1978 in Assam, India at the age of 21yr ,now I am 63, it is a master piece.

This song really brings life to my soul. Those were the good old days

I often wonder about the small number of views and likes.. this should be in the millions. The original sound of Osibisa, lyrics that suit so many situations in everyday life and a beautifully lilting melody and rhythm makes this an all time classic that I love listening to every now and then.

True! Miss The Older Days

Soul touching song. As a lil boy, I didn't understand it but the melody and rhythm were very gravitating. I could shed tears by mere listening though didn't understand what it meant. Well, I have always had this kind of feeling with beautiful songs such as this even in language I don't relate to but interestingly after delving into the content it really speaks something touching.

So touching,makes me miss my Dad
