I am 56,..first time listened Sunshine Day - OSIBISA, when I was 10 or 11, as my next door neighbor, in a very little town of Indonesia, East Java, was a radio cassette shop. And since then Sunshine Day become one of my evergreen oldies most memorable song. And only realized by today, reading on the below comments, that in fact, OSIBISA, is from Ghana, the only African country I've ever visited so far. I visited Thema, small town close to Accra back in 2010.

Osibisa is a band formed in London in 1969 by four Africans and three Caribbeans, which reached its greatest popularity in the early 70s. It was one of the first African groups known worldwide.

I saw them at Festival Hall in Brisbane that year (1st yr Uni student at the time). Fabulous concert and I'm still a big fan.

Wow! I am hearing this after four + decades .. had faded from my mind till youtube just threw in one out of nowhere. Gee .. kudos to technology. Few albums by this fabulous band is on the cards. Bring back them memories. Thanks much 🎉
Great band! I met Dell Richardson in Antigua years ago. Dell is from Antigua! He’s one of the founding members

No it wasn't this. The original band was Osibisa Band from Ghana. Unless this is a younger generation that has taken over.

Yes youare correct played at utility building 24 storied. We could hear the band more than ten kilometers. Very famous

Goose-bumps..... what a wonderful find. First heard this mid 70's on WHUR, Howard University's legendary FM radio station. For those who've known this band since those days...... think about it a sec. How far away in time did 2020 seem? Aren't we supposed to be in flying cars and living in apartments in Space Needle-like buildings....... like the Jetsons :) thank you for sharing this treasure

I saw Osibisa in Exeter in 1977. They might have the same name but I doubt there's a single member of the Exeter band here. Bloody good though.
Part of the team is from Ghana. Osibisa, you were the legends! Great band!

What an insult? OSIBISA is a Ghanaian Band …yes there may be band members from the Caribbean but the band is Ghanaian…Don’t be silly! “Kaa fee buulu…”!

A very jolly happy go lucky joyful music group making the audience also sing and dance and and make merry with them. Really very energy packed musical guys.
