OSHO: How Best to Deal with Fear

"What is the problem if the world ends? It has been asked to me many times. But what is the problem? -if it ends, it ends. It does not create any problem because we will not be here; we will be ending with it, and there will be no one to worry about. It will be really the greatest freedom from fear."

My late father was a die hard follower of osho, he worshiped osho's teachings, my father even had a big photograph of osho hanged in his bedroom. At that time I was a teenager and did not understand a thing. Now I'm 58 and listening to osho everyday and absorbing . Life is wonderful. Live, love and enjoy is what I take seriously from osho. 😊

As I understand it: basically the mind and the body are programmed for fear but through meditation we can catch glimpses of a mind and a body that is free from the slavery of the programming. The more we practice, the more powerful and skillful we can get at extending these glimpses of freedom and peace. Great advice.

@Gabriel Lopez Yes we are programmed for fear unfortunately and we can't coerce ourselves into stopping it on the conscious level for the most part :) If we want to stop those deep unconscious programming we need to learn how to get into deeper brainwave states ( through meditation ) and out root those attachments so that we can be free in our essential nature. This may sound complicated but if one understands how to do it , it is quite easy and fun. Check out Drukama Teachings if you want to learn about it , I found their system to be very effective :)

Catty Girl One of the easiest ways of handling fear is by not being anxious over anything and insecure over any situation. Our imaginations and perceptions torment us more than actual reality. Most of the things we are afraid of would not eventually happen and when they do nature has adaptably equipped us to deal with whatever comes our way.

Everytime we become aware of the river of thoughts and emotions we reclaim the land of peace within. This alone is all that is needed (awareness). Dont try to stop the river. Just allow the awareness to work its magic. Using our breath as a re-focus of attention is helpful. We are all standing on the shore of something great. Our true home. Fear is in us all. Be kind to each other. I will keep trying to let go of my fear and attachments by becoming more aware of them. Peace and love to all of you.
