The comment section is going crazy by what the creator put so my thought would be that Akane would be copying Ai a little because I find it weird to copy someone, but that’s my opinion. Some people say it is because she is an actor, but I’m pretty sure she is copying Ai for Aqua because in one scene they asked Aqua who is his ideal type and Akane said she will try and be it. I know also that Akane is doing for acting too so I’m quite confused? Tell me what you think?

i feel like some people misunderstood akane. she's like one of my favorites characters- I'm gonna write my opinion on that. if you don't wanna read it, than just don't. I want to talk about her "copy ai". if you do not like her appearance, character, then I have no questions for you. Everyone has different types anyway. she never copied ai. after she was hated, her friends suggested that she portray a different personality. since it would be difficult to come up with this other personality from scratch, because it would be unfinished and empty, they decided to ask Aqua's ideal girl. to make it easier to come up with a "role". Plus, it's a "love now" show, so pairing them up isn't bad for the show either. Akane wasn't trying to please Aqua, she was trying to protect herself with lies, as she was advised. the way she learned ai overnight is, of course, a little strange. although on the other hand it shows how akane is immersed in her work and how smart and hardworking she is. really a genius. already in the morning she was able to play her role, it's wonderful!! and she didn’t do it for aqua initially, even if in the end she fell in love with him. but outside of the show she didn't try to copy ai, she was herself. Ya'll trippin in the comment section. Don't blame Akane for portraying Ai. Its perfectly reasonable for her to do so. Her coworkers suggested to use another personality as a shield amongst harsh criticism; after all Aqua once said: "Lying is the best way of protecting one's self.". The 2 other girls asked Aqua what his type was to give Akane some sort of role to play. They knew that Akane is a capable actor so this was perfect. Aqua described ai then mem recognized her. And Akane knew what to do. She just had to copy Ai and with that comes with dedicating yourself to research. Plus she is a skilled actor, she knows exactly what to do and what's effective. Akane just does what she's good at and paired with determination and urge to help everyone out and herself gives her a lot of motivation to do so. And I, Thank you.

I think the same, yes she suffered and everything and that was her own way to not be attacked again, but like i hate she's trying to copy Ai in every way possible, like she'd be similar but not copy jer entire identity. Thats my opinion, i love Akane, but i hate that...

Same , i also find it weird how akane studied ai’s entire demographic just to mimic her down to the t. It wasn’t fame that made her mentally unstable, she has always been unhinged.

@@LovelyGacha2007 Well onii/nii is for big brother (like onii-sama, onii-san, onii-chan, and nii-sama, nii-san, nii-chan) for big sister it's same but with onee/nee (they might sound similar for some languages like english). Younger siblings are mostly called by names or nicknames unless introducing them to someone as someones younger sibling. There are even more of these in japanese that people often get confused like Ani (for big brother) and Ane (for big sister). Oji is for uncle/older man and Ojii is for grandpa/elderly man, same with Oba (aunt/older woman) and Obaa (grandma/elderly woman).

Mem and Yuki had an idea for Akane to portray Aqua's ideal type because as aqua once said "lying is best form of protection". Akane here was just following advice and taking action on it. anyway these are just surface level stuff of reasoning, I can elaborate more if you'd like.

Like Aqua said that Akane should take up a persona so that she could avoid being bullied on the internet again, and Akane choose to act like Ai (which is Aqua's ideal girl) as a way to thank him for saving her life (Sorry for my bad grammar)
