im extremely grateful that though i lived only 3 months in png after being born there, i am still able to fluently understand tok pisin because of my parents who spoke it constantly to me as I was growing up in australia. for those who dont understand the meaning of the song: its basically talking about how humanity doesn't have sympathy towards the earth anymore. the message is quite similar to the song 'where is the love?' by the black eyed peas but is moreso based on the environment. in the line of the chorus 'turangu save i go we' oshen is asking where all of our love for both the earth and people around us has gone. in the following verses he sings about specific ways we've become ignorant towards the earth; including our strenuous focus on and usage of money (monipes i toromwe tasol), deforestation of our environment and natural resources (noken i rausim bus is go) etc. im assuming its an observation of the country of papua new guinea specifically and overall just the importance of maintaining culture and tradition instead of focusing on materialistic things.

Damien Marely and artistes like Collie Budz quite like the fact that the Pacific has theyre own style of Reggae. I've heard Oshen sing in both English and Melanesian Pijin, but this seems to be neither. What language is this? Is it the local tribal language of the area where Oshen grew up? If so, what do you know of this language? Thank you again for any information.
