If one wants to synchronize two oscilloscopes, would it be better to use the auxiliary trigger input or an analog input channel?

Let's say I have displayed an input signal (of an ac system or whatever) and afterwards I also display the output signal. Does the triggering the phase difference between the two signals? If so, Why?

Whats the difference between these 3 - Normal - Scan - auto..- Im familiar with "single", as that, will wait for input before almost taking a screendump , but these 3 other trigger modes look like the same- thx for the video.

What is the difference between before and after triggering on my DSO oscilloscope. The square wave looks identical either side of the trigger? There is a memory display of the record length at the top of the screen that shows a trigger and how much of the record length is displayed on the screen. I can scroll indefinitely in one direction in this record length box but only to the end of the record in the other direction. It is a Rigol scope

The various formats for trigger can help in some situations where there are complicated waveforms, or a particular part of the waveform needs to be monitored. In many cases it will to make a difference.

I think you have to come back with more information on triggering , I still do not understand how to use the trigger and what exactly it means …

Yes, I seem to remember I had a bad cold at the time and was under pressure to get the videos out, so I had to go with it. :-)
