    Every time I have used these SSD1306 or SSH1106 OLEDs on projects that use analog readings, the OLED has a significant impact on the readings. I think it is the charge pump circuit, it is very noisy when it tries to generate 40+ volts out of your 5 volt supply. This noise will influence any ADC on the same circuit. For example, if you take an ADC reading that says, say, 136 out of 1024. Then you invert the OLED display, so white is black and black is white. The ADC reading will then read something like 208 instead of 136. A massive difference caused only by what you chose to display on the screen on the other side of the circuit! So for that reason I don't think they should be used for something as sensitive as an oscilloscope. A fast SPI TFT would be better - no noise.

    i had also tested that, i had connect 2- CR2032 -3v Coin size batteries connected in series one battery was weak, and with that series connection of those 2-batteries powered up this oscilloscope very easily 😍, just think of that, how low voltage and current it consumes 😍😍, it gives oscilloscope wave graph readings, av voltage readings, frequency readings Duty cycle, timeline up and down etc.

    both versions are better on its place- In previous oscilloscope i had used arduino uno, that doesn't matter bcoz my both oscilloscope works on same micro controller atmega328 with 16mhz crystal, previous oscilloscope used 2.4 tft display sheild, that looks bigger and provide color interface, but in that version u cannot see duty cycle with Hz, but in this oled version u can see it, also its size is small easy to carry and needs only 3v to run easily, but that previous version works better with 5v supply,

    @CreativeInventorlab

    2 жыл бұрын

    i had over clocked the 2.4 tft version oscilloscope, with 27mhz clock with different bootloader and code for myself as experimental purpose for a limited time, but after that i had prosponed that project for another project bcoz it was talking too much time, i also though to add hz and duty cycle but due to lack of memory of atmega328, most of memory is taken by adafruit library for 2.4inch tft display due to that problem, duty cycle and hz feature cannot be added, so for that i had used oled that used ssd1368 library that size is lower and gives enough features to add hz and duty cycle.
