It’s absolutely pathetic to listen this whimpering example of a “man”. Oscar is a self-centred, immature, narcissistic, insecure and jealous whimp of an individual. Reeva seemed to be a bubbly, friendly and engaging person, Oscar certainly did not deserve anyone like her. RIP beautiful lady.

When I listen to Oscar's responses to the texts written by Reeva to Oscar I get so disgusted at how clueless he is to his level of entitlement and his inability to perceive how self-centered he is. I wonder why she continued to stay with him. I am so sick of men killing women. I am so sick of the attitude men have toward women. The one good thing that is coming out of this terrible murder is that it is touching people around the world, and we are all getting to see and feel the attitudes of others regarding the treatment of women. The more I learn about Reeva, the more I believe she was the epitome of femininity, sweetness, and just an all around lovely person, yet she ended up with four bullets tearing at her body and head. If ever a person deserved to be treasured and treated graciously, she is an example of that person. I do not mean she was better or more deserving than any of the other women who get murdered, but we get to see this relationship under a microscope in front of the entire world. I hope men will look at the woman that loves them and just appreciate her and that love. I also hope women who are being treated badly by any man, even if he is a superstar, gets out of an abusive relationship with their life and dignity intact. I would love to see the language that belittles women, the movies that view them as little more than whores, and anything that depicts a woman as someone less than worthy of respect and love come to an end. At least something good will have come out of this tragedy.

YOU GO NEL! *As macabre as it may sound:* when Pistorius says he simply wanted to "protect her" he's not even lying. He wanted to _protect her from a life without him._ If he can't have her, nobody else will. And that alone makes this trial so challenging - because of his twisted intentions, he's able to show true emotions - able to apologize. Pistorios is not your typical murderer. He's more like this egocentric half-god.

Like thinking he could get away with it? Well, Nel is doing a great job: tearing down his ego bursting his bubble letting him know that he's no half-god and the longer this trial goes on hopefully OP can come clean but somehow i have gut feeling he is too self centered to ever admit murdering Reeva intentionally. I wouldn't think this trial is anymore challenging than what Nel has experienced in the past with all his accolades, etc. He is quite the prosecutor in his own right.

This asshole based on the way he answer/dodging the questions and make it difficult for the prosecutor sound to me he's 100% guilty. If he have nothing to hide...he should not have nothing to worry about and speak naturally and honestly. The fact that he makes it difficult says it all. Also a lot of things don't make sense. Let's just say he never seen his gf head to the bathroom (let's give him that), who the hell would just head to the bathroom with a gun without confirming that she's still in the bed? Every human being would say something like "honey, did you hear that?" "i heard a sound in the bathroom." This would confirm that your gf is with you before you head to the bathroom to investigate (if you truly care about her). He clearly did not do that and can't invent a story like this because that would confirm she's with him. Also, if you have gun with you, what the hell are you afraid of?? And if you see the robber is in the bathroom door closed...you would have turned on the light and wait and ask who's inside. And why the hell a robber want to hide inside a toilet lol stupid and locked LOL. And why would you shoot without asking who's inside? Any human would say...."who's inside?" when holding a gun. And clearly he realize if he said that, his gf would reply to him...so he can't invent that story. All these tell me this fool is a fucking liar. I think they had a big argument and she was scared of him and go inside the bathroom. He threatened to shoot her and he did with 4 rounds ....whether he intend to just hurt her or killed her..i don't know but clearly he doesn't care at that point due to absolute anger.

maybe he was a victim of some type of home invasion and he wasn't thinking clearly maybe he killed her knowing, the brain can do tricky things when fear is involved, fear starts out as a reflex signal in the brain. The signal travels to the amygdala - a region near the base of the brain. The amygdala fires a brain chemical called glutamate out into two other regions of the brain. The first region makes us freeze or involuntarily jump. These reactions are so automatic because the signal is sent deep into the base of the brain to an area that we have little control over. The second signal is sent to the hypothalamus and triggers our autonomic nervous system - the system responsible for the fight or flight instinct - when our bodies go into superman mode. It elevates our heart rate and blood pressure and pumps adrenaline throughout our bodies. That's the rush you feel when scared. As I have said, I have had an intruder in my house, and I made sure I knew where all three of my children were at all times. It makes me sick that he is making himself out to be a hero holding the weapon between the fake intruder and Reeva. Jodi Arias did the same thing. this session contains some incredible testimony, especially concerning the tasha`s restaurant incident. OP testifies repeatedly that, although the glock pistol cannot discharge without someone pulling the trigger, it was not he who pulled the trigger! this is absolutely amazing - even more so considering that he makes the EXACT same claim regarding his killing reeva steenkamp: in both instances, he states "I didn`t have time to think", and in both instances, he cannot recall having discharged the weapon himself! this is simply incredulous and clearly shows, in my humble view, one thing: that the accused oscar pistorius is -in both instances- lying. in both instances, there is no other way to shoot than by consciously pulling the trigger. mr pistorius in in a state of complete denial...this should nail this case.

Oscar cannot be as petrified by the prospect of break-ins that he maintains. He tells us that he left his balcony doors open until about 3:am while he and Reeva were sleeping. The posited "intruders" could just as easily have propped their ladders against the balcony proper. Not only that, but by having the fans running between where he and Reeva were sleeping and this possible entry point, he was significantly reducing his chances of hearing "them" coming.

I think the intent of that was to bring a bit of balance to where it was heading.... Even I, who do not know much about his past started to get a feeling that he PROBABLY might not have harmed anyone on purpose due to the Character evidence which was built the previous day.... It was just a reminder of what they are in court for, to bring a sense of reality and seriousness as to what he had done and how GRAVE it is.... Not to explain how he helped disabled ppl in the past and blah blah blah... and act as if he did ABSOLUTELY nothing wrong and shot only in self defense..... The image took everyone by shock and the world will now realize the GRAVITY of what he had done... put things in perspective..... Might have been an overkill but I think even Reeva's mom agreed it was necessary......

Once again I just cannot believe that Oscar is claiming that he did not even have his finger on the trigger when that gun went off in the restaurant. While it is obvious that his strategy is to completely avoid any scenarios which can portray him as reckless (pulling the trigger in a restaurant would be reckless) does he not realize that he is then asking the judge to believe that a supernatural event caused either the hammer to pull back on its own and fire the bullet or the bullet to go off as a result of high heat that caused the gunpowder to explode without the fuse being hit. In other words, does he not realize that by avoiding looking reckless, he has made himself look like a liar, which is TEN TIMES worse, since being caught lying is all the judge will need to convict him.

It is pretty crazy. I think if a gun went off without pulling trigger, you would be stunned and want to know why, and talk to people about it. But if you pulled the trigger, thinking it wasn't loaded, of course you understand why it went off and have no reason to talk to anyone about it.

This will be his downfall in the end and I'm glad. The fact that he has pleaded not guilty to all charges exposes him for what he really is. According to him, he has done NOTHING wrong. Shooting his gun out of a sunroof never happened (2 witnesses are lying), the gun in the restaurant went off by itself (miraculous event), and he shot 4 times at Reeva "without thinking" or meaning to shoot anyone. So nothing is his fault really. It shows the arrogance of the man, and speaks volume for his character. How he sits there on the stand and lies in that innocent school boy tone grinds me like you cant believe, and he deserves to be locked up before someone else gets killed (due to no fault of his own of coarse,)

At ANY time, had OP been genuinely afraid of an intruder (WHAT intruder breaks into a house fortified with alarms dogs and in a 24 hour guarded security development only to HIDE IN THE BATHROOM???) he could have retrieved Reeva and gone out the front door of his house to safety. OP's FIRST call was to a female attorney friend of his, not to emergency services and he told the guard who did call that everything was fine. But the BIGGEST mistake OP made with this ridiculous implausible intruder BS is, at no time did he ever try to ascertain where Reeva was before he fired FOUR SHOTS through the door. They had been arguing (correction; he was fighting Reeva was trying to calm him down) about texts/emails Reeva had received from an ex, the soccer player.

As rude and cruel as it is, it's the job of the prosecutor to not treat him like the little boy he wants to act like at times in this case.. . Nel has an amazing point in asking him why he chose to do the apology for the first time in the middle of court. "I didn't think it was appropriate to apologize". . . She says: "you pick on me incessantly", but that doesn't really mean that I ever pick on her. "I got short with her", but he never has... Pathetic.

A GLOCK pistol has no external safety lever, that is standard for all Glock caliber weapons. Glock does not make single action pistols, it does not make revolvers or rifles. I own 2 Glock pistols, one in 10mm and another in .357SIG. It is a double action pistol which can NEVER go off by itself. It cannot even be discharged with a light pull of the trigger, has to be a full 4 lbs trigger force. It is a standard police weapon in 9mm and .40S&W calibers always in the holster with a round IN THE CHAMBER. The intrinsic safety is it's internal double action therefore it is 100% safe unless it is roasted on a fire. Although all other pistols do have external safety levers, single or double action . OP should have done his homework before testifying, he's simply digging his own grave. I feel bad for him. Jackson, Mississippi.

tiffsaver i agree with you, sir. But accidents do happen even with the most experienced of us, sometimes due to overconfidence, other times due to carelessness. But with O.P discharging a Glock in a restaurant without touching the trigger and then continuing to lie about it with such conviction, under oath, just nullifies any benefit of doubt in his favor on the night of Reeva's death. Now there is no reason left to believe his version. In hindsight, had there been another person in the house that night, maybe a friend that was visiting, I'm positive OP would have put the blame squarely on that person. Maybe even killed the poor visitor after killing Reeva so as to not have a living witness left. And then told the cops that the visitor killed Reeva and then in self defense, he killed the visitor. Just as he said he was upset at his friend's negligence who handed him the Glock loaded. The friend probably handed him the pistol with a full clip but an empty chamber, then macho man OP pulls the slide, one now in the chamber and pulls the trigger....and BANG!! Followed by Operation Cover-Up, Blame-Game, etc. But in my humble opinion, the remaining days of the trial after his GLOCK lie is simply prolonging his public trial. The prosecution could have wrapped up the trial that day itself. Every sane person knows he killed her in a fit of rage. I am a holder of a gun permit + concealed carry (CCW). Not including my big game to dangerous game rifles, I have two Glocks- .357sig & 10mm, a .357mag Rhino rev, a Dan Wesson 1911 .45acp, a Ruger .44rem mag SBH single action rev, a Desert Eagle .50AE pistol-it's a gas operated single action unlike the 1911 single action, a AK-47 handgun(short barrel and no stock) Yugo M92 PAP. Point I'm trying to make is that these are all different calibers and different mechanisms- which you being a gun owner yourself, are fully aware. If OP had said the same lie about an unlocked 1911 pistol, it could have been believable. Not just that, although here in the U.S., the 9mm used in Reeva's death is not itself considered a big round but along with .40S&W, it is standard law enforcement issue. But when you use jacketed Hollow Point ammo, at close range x multiple shots especially the Black Talon kind (which I've never used or even seen first hand), it's a game changer altogether. Your self defense purpose or intention goes straight outa the window!! It becomes purely and wholely destructive in purpose. Then of course, there is basic and advanced training which tells you that you may never use a .50 Cal or even .44 RemMag for self defense (unless you are being robbed by an armed Grizzly bear)....and many many other things I can't list here. When you use a gun in self defense, it is only after you have confirmed that the other guy is an imminent threat, he is armed with a gun- of which you have made a 100% visual confirmation unless he is reaching for a concealed one, then is preparing to use that gun on you, and you despite being armed and trained, do not have time to run or call 911 before he takes you down. Even before you draw your own weapon, you try to reason with him first if you think that would help defuse the situation. Some of those measures are very individual and subjective but will go a long ways to save your ass from prosecution later on, if you did indeed happened to kill the attacker. Most of this INFO I've given here is for those folks with no handgun training or those who have never owned or handled a firearm or people living in countries where legal guns are rare. Although here in the United States most of it is common knowledge. In a nutshell, Reeva was murdered and OP is screwed. Jackson, Mississippi.

tiffsaver There is more than enough circumstantial + conclusive evidence to prove OP's guilt that we can hardly comment on, that's the lawyers job. We can just talk about the firearms and ballistics part. Besides the above, I've performed & assisted in several Forensic autopsies myself as part time Medical Examiner earlier when I lived in Ohio- from gunshot wounds, rape, drowning, burns, poisoning, strangulation although now I'm a full-time M.D. physician treating "living" patients. I've posted my observations on her death and also corroborated the testimonies of a couple of state witnesses who deposed before the Hon. Judge that Reeva's scream were heard briefly even after the last, fatal head shot. The defense counsel Mr. Roux scoffed at that possibility thereby implying that the witness was not reliable. But if you go to the videos of the initial week of the trial, you'll see my comments when you scroll down a bit. Jackson, Mississippi.

This man did not kill Reeva intentionally. I am not sure what the people posting comments base their judgement of OP's guilt. I am an American and used to the American judicial system where proof of guilt MUST be presented by the State beyond a reasonable doubt. I have watched every minute of this trial and I have found so much reasonable doubt already. I try to keep reminding myself to keep my mind open to his possible guilt. But each day I watch this court proceeding I am more convinced than not in his innocence. People say: Why didn't he hear her scream after the first shot? If he was doing all that hollering "Reeva! Call the Police! Someone is in the house!", why didn't she say something? Why did she lock the toilet room door? I have asked many women this question: If you got up to go to the bathroom at 3 am and your husband was heading to the open balcony area to bring in a fan last you saw him and next thing you hear is him screaming there is an intruder, what would you do? Everyone agrees. I would think my husband encountered the intruder on the balcony. I would think if I was already near the toilet room door, I would run in there, lock the door and remain quiet. The first shot I might not scream for fear the intruder would come and do worse.

We can all be arm-chair quarterbacks as outsiders looking in. However, let me offer this to your thoughts about why he didn't check the bed first or first think of that maybe it was Reeva in the bathroom. This man has a physical disability. I do not have one. I can only imagine, which isn't fair, but that's all I can do. How vulnerable must a physically disabled person feel when faced with perceived danger- as in this case? I would think much like a person blind in one eye can still drive and such because the other eye compensates- to a limited degree. So, I would think his adrenaline began at the second he heard a noise. In a very dark room shadows were his only vantage point. Did he over react? Maybe. Did his vulnerability lead to hyper-fear? Probably. His mind was in fight or flight mode immediately.

A GUILTY person and one that CONTINUES TO LIE, will always choose to say “I don’t remember”. This lengthy WhatsApp message is in my opinion a clear indication of how dodgy and toxic their relationship was specifically because of Oscar. His issues and behaviour was the problem and everything in the message points to her being victimised and Oscar being the dominant one. The other important fact here is that this message was sent only two weeks before Reeva’s death. I truly believe that she went to Oscar that fateful evening to end their relationship, and he became enraged and confrontational, an argument ensued, and this caused her to try and leave his residence. He snapped, chased her to the toilet, and we all know what happened! There’s NO WAY that a vulnerable person, especially a disabled one & a coward, would decide to approach an extremely dangerous situation. In addition to that and in the situation, surely he would have asked Reeva if she had also heard a noise from the bathroom. His version is not even close to improbable, it’s non existent, it never happened that way and he knows it. He should be in prison for the rest of his life!! RIP Reeva ❤️❤️❤️.

At the outset I had OP down as a privileged, spoilt, arrogant, self-centred rich boy (I already had a poor opinion of him from some of his sporting antics before this happened.) A lot of what we have heard during the trial also portrays him this way; a guy who is used to having what he wants and doing whatever he please (e.g. firing guns in public.) Who would even brandish a gun in a restaurant let alone fire it? But the more I follow this and think about it, the more I am convinced that this was a tragic accident. Being an arrogant, spoiled, self centred and obnoxious prick is light-years away from being a murderer. In the absence of conclusive evidence this case will rely heavily on how OP's character is portrayed. There are very few people in this world who would be capable of firing four bullets at someone who was trying to hide from them, even under the most extreme provocation; if Nel is to prove that OP is one of those people he will need to do better than immature antics in a car, irresponsible behaviour in a restaurant and a few crusty text messages. I think we are looking at manslaughter with a suspended sentence here.

~when GN confronts him at 21:00 with the constant "I had to...." OP actually says: "my lady, I had things to, I had training in the morning, I had plans that day"..... I forgot just how bad he was on the stand. can't imagine his true self not being exposed during his evaluation.

Why did she not leave? Was the money and HIS fane maybee a way to get her struggling career on track? What he did was not right, but she had all the time in the world to leave him.

Lot of people like to judge. Op killed her that is true n he is not denying it.... regardless of what people think my opinion is that it was an accident. Or he is just a really handsome rich but stupid ass man that decided in a few minutes to kill this woman knowing his whole life n everything he had worked hard for would go to waste n knowing that he would b hurting all the families this bad..

Wow, your whole comment had to do with what he would lose, but not what Reeva lost and the pain she went through being abused. He is a cold blooded murderer.

41:38 Look at the length of time it took Oscar to answer that question, obviously just made up his answer there and then, Nel should of said and what accents were these and for what show? mind you we all know what the answer would of been in that pathetic grovelling voice..."I'm not sure my lady."

Nick Harris Narcissistic personality disorder. Total void of real empathy for anyone other than self. Shame in early childhood, shallow sense of self. Cannot stand criticism, but can dole it out! Cannot get close to anyone, so blows hot and cold in intimate relationships. Uses people as 'supply'. Emotional abuse to those close, and really nice to everyone else. Wears a mask in public. Charms all those who are not close. Different behind closed doors.
