My theory: Reeva was in the toilet with the door locked because Pistorius was coming after her. She thought she was safe in there. She took her cell phone with her to call for help. Pistorius shot through the door four times to prevent her from making that call.

Why was he coming after her? Something must've ticked him off so badly at that moment. Why aren't both the Prosecution and the Defense looking into this? Was Reeva seeing other people? Was he seeing other people? This case is so weird, and the Police tampering with the crime scene doesn't help the credibility of this case. It's a twilight zone, that court room..

Murder = premeditation - he planned it, if that isn't so then it is man slaughter. He shot and killed Reeva, now he fired intending to harm, he picked up the gun. Now if that shows Murder then the judge will give him a sentence for that. However, if the case is not proven then he will be judged as manslaughter and thus get a lesser sentence. What every sentence he gets he shot and killed her and will be judged by the public for ever after. I feel sorry for her family, Oscar could have stopped all this pain by pleading guilty to murder or making a deal for a manslaughter guilty charge. It just shows what sort of guy he is.

Yes, pleading guilty is too easy because he will never take the blame as the trial moves along it will be very interesting to see him actually on the stand I can imagine that he will prove to be a very good manipulator under oath. RIP REEVA

I have not watched the whole trial, just skimmed it. However, three pieces of evidence may lead in one direction. 1. Valentines' Day (Eve) 2. Ms. Taylor's evidence that when she was with OP he texted in bed at night and left his personal "cell phone" on his bed side table when in bed at night. 3. Two cell phones where found in the "bathroom" when it was secured as a crime scene after the locked door had been broken down. Theory. Accepting an alternative that OP left his phone in the bathroom after attending on RS post shooting that would not explain why two cell phones. What would trigger (no pun intended) an argument at 3am in the morning? How about RS checking the SMS traffic on OP's "cell phone" - She having taken it whilst OP was asleep in the bedroom and locking the door in the bathroom while she checked out his mobile phone. It seems both OP and RS had other "friends" at the time - especially as they had only been together for 3 months. There is some contradicting evidence concerning "raised voices" (argument/screaming) before the "shooting" commenced. Perhaps OP woke up and discovered both RS and his cell phone missing from the bedroom and was keen to stop her "digging for gold" on the phone. Now that is a scenario which might send him "ballistic" (no pun intended) at 3am in the morning! And don't bother telling me about "cell phone" PIN numbers - RS had plenty of time in 3 months to figure it out - Like all sneaky Biaches :) Hate to say it but OP is RS (Ratshit in Australia) because when he clipped RS - in anger - his temporal response (to the private security officer) was "everything is fine" - for which there cannot be a rational explanation given RS was at least injured (from OP's POV) at that point (if not dead).

The fact that the bathroom door was locked highlights even more so that Pistorius is lying. No so-called intruder would lock themselves in a bathroom door. If Pistorius is to be believed that he thought it was an intruder, a sensible person would try the door handle of the bathroom and where he would have found it locked, he'd have known it was Reeva. The fact is he knew it was Reeva because I think she ran in the bathroom and locked the door out of fear and to get away from Pistorius. He then began shooting out of range. This is what I believe has happened.

And why would she lock the toilet door if she got up to pee while he was asleep. I think they were talking through the door because of where she was standing when she was shot the first time.

Why would the door be locked? Does anybody lock the bathroom door these days in your own home? Oscar should take those fake legs off and show his true height. Just like he should show his true colors.

wealthier people have nice bathrooms, and the toilet is in it's own small room, within the main bathroom, with a door, lock and fan...to provide ultimate privacy and stink control. So. if this was the case for Oscar's wealthy home, Reeva went as deeply as possible to protect herself.

The interpreter sounds drunk....its amazing that an interpreter like this can be hired!! Its hard to even make sense of what the witness is saying because of her hick-ups!!

I think he is very insecure about his disability. This has formed a big part of his personality and his fascination with guns.

I think so too to some degree but I also think he naturally has a temper and a darker side to him. He also comes across to me as someone from an affluent background, who has always got what he's wanted and has been overindulged to compensate for his disability to the point he thought he could do what he wants. The fact he's had quite a few run-ins with police in relation to guns, speeding, being drunk while on a speed boat that crashed etc and yet he's always gotten away with these things as though he has paid people off, including the police, and got his friends to take the rap for him, says to me he has been cocky and thought he'd always get away with breaking the law. I also think he over uses the fact he's got a disability as though it is an excuse for his behaviour. There is no excuse for killing someone.

As far as I know, interpreter suppose to be bilingual and bicultural as well. On the other hand, generally speaking, although someone who is fluent in both English and native language less likely to have both cultural awareness which is one of the most important rules in interpreting after accuracy.

incompetence .....is a synonym for......South africa...that translator goes back with about 6 times my salary ......they put her in place not cause she can do the job...they put her in place because of her skin color,and sex,,,,,this is only one of the tragedies of BEE......i am sure there are other black ladies that can do the job better.....but......this is South africa......my concern is not her salary,sex or color.....my concern is the evidence delivered is REALLY not accurate,she does not have to do a perfect job....but at least the magistrate must have a understandable accurate version

Sure, Noluthando Precious Tshanga, Bad Runner didn't intend to kill his gf, he just wanted to turn her into a colander because he missed one in the kitchen. The guy -innocent until proven guilty- seems to me a hypocritical first degree murderer. This is a high profile case, couldn't they have found a truly bilingual and learned translator ? It gives of SA a very bad image. The lady judge is formidable though ! If I were guilty I'd rather face a jury than her...

Well Roux isn't warranting his £5500 per day!! his client is going 'down' the way it's going right now!!! At least Roux will walk away with at least £200,000 as its gonna take longer then 3 weeks the way he keeps repeating his questions! Oscars better in jail cos he will be skint after this with Roux's fees.

WoW I will the judge of what I think happened on 14 of February night,after listening to the witness and the defences I think the couple had an big argument, she ran hid inside the bathroom,he went after her nocking the door down,she was screaming and then he fired 4 shots,he realised what had happened and began to cry and shout in anger.

It might be just me but i think i understood the security guard's english better than his interpreter!?!....or.....maybe i think it might be just me?!

What a droopy court system. Maybe they need Roberts Law of Order. Regardless, from the looks of it, Oscar is going to be the prize at the Prison Idol: Sing-a-long with Rocky held every Friday night in the brig. Not like he will be able to run away.

Fire the translator before she gets Oscar off the hook.

Carrie Aldighieri Yes literally 'key' evidence. she would have no reason to lock the door other than to protect herself from danger. Also there are reports she was wearing clothes which would suggest she had not 'just got up from sleeping'. If she did get up and dress she would speak to OP say 'what are you doing with the fan - I need to go to the bathroom' and he would have known her whereabouts. I expect the argument reconstruction was a man and OP who was trying his best to sound like a woman - so when doctor was asked by defense advocate, 'you heard a man and a woman?' it was a trap to get the witness to say yes under oath. It didn't work - but it shows that a woman heard screaming prior to gunshots is a big problem for the defense.

exactly - you are right . we all know what happened. the only 2 that don,t is pistorius and his lier lawyer.

The states version of shots fired at 3:17 were the real shots is NOT looking good. There were many calls reporting shots before then released in evidence today. I don't know if Oscar chased her in there but its quite obvious that the state has messed up by stating its their case that its only possible that the fatal shots were fired at the 3:17 mark rather than the previous bangs.

Only twist I can come up with to support this is if Oscar had the bat and gun in his hands at the same time....shot at least twice then hit the door with the bat.....then moments later fired the fatal shots and in succession finished the door off with the bat. Both sequences would have been rather hard to accomplish unless the states evidence of three cricket bat strikes on the door is inaccurate....that could make it more plausible if he hit the door with the bat and paused, shot three times then break door down with couple more swings then fires last shot once door was down. But this would even be hard to do in quick succession with witness testimony. Everything so far really still points to all 4 shots then cricket bat but that only proves the states case is really flawed. It doesn't mean Oscar didnt know who was in there but sure does make his case look a lot better than the states.

I find it hard to fully understand the translator .. the accent is terrible :/

Pistorius does not have a leg to stand on. His lawyer contradicts himself and seems totally incompetent. What defence lawyer asks a prosecution witness questions about another witness statement. Totally wrong trying to always get Pistorius`s defence in at every opportunity.

In this case he doesn't have two legs to stand on. The defense attorney is trying his best to nit pick words of the witnesses. His ex-girlfriend did a very good job on the stand. She sure brought out some truth that looks very bad for Oscar.

This case does't look good for the state so far, I am worried with the hope that the next coming state witnesses will testify on the direct evidence than circumstantial evidence.

If the outcome of this trial is that he is innocent, then this is a license to shoot a girlfriend while she's in the bathroom. Tipp: Make sure the door is closed. Don't ask - just shoot. It is not at all uncommon for witnesses in South African courts to testify in other languages, but I find it surprising that, unlike the advocates, the presiding judge doesn't seem to know Afrikaans. I say so because all university-bound students in South African high schools have to study two official SA languages and, in most schools, those languages are English and Afrikaans.

Disappointed with the translator :( Does not seem to speak English or Afrikaans fluently.
