CanineAmbassador, I have always been fascinated by the German Shepherd breed. These dog's have their act together as far as intelligence, stamina, agility, loyalty, strength and obedience. At first you must be sure puppy or the dog has no any parasites so I every 3mo taking dog's poo examples for 3 days. Then my vet check it and if they is any parasites. Then I give him/them worming tablets against it. Then if you use top quality food, it will be seen on the dog. My dogs are on Acana food now.

3 times per day. quantity you have on the bag of food, but every dog has different metabolism.

This is for IPO sport. First couple of months, no commands only spontaneous behaviour.

Is this prey drive? Did you include treats to develop that high drive? How long do the sessions last?

In the beginning it is all prey drive and later when the dog is mentally stronger and matured we changing it into aggression and more orientation to a person as on a toy. Treats/food we use in obedience to get the dog to learning mode. The dogs are more concentrate and learning more on a treats/food as if is used the toys. If the dog has strong ball drive and you use the toy in the beginning in obedience - the dog is more on a hunting mode as in learning. Also on a treats or food the dog is more relaxed. With little puppy it is just like 5-10min max in one session as the dog is getting older session is a longer.

How often does a GSD eat a day? Mine eats twice a day but his rib cage shows. The dog in this training looks very filled but mine looks like it's not being fed, no matter how much I feed him. :( what can I do? Plus my dog is almost one third bigger / larger than this dog in video. And my dog's father is a 130 lb dog. Any suggestions?
