People love to laugh at Oscar nowadays, Dana White takes shots at him , but they truly don't understand how BIG of a deal and how good Oscar was, he was incredible in the ring an all time great! He was also the first boxer with a "pop Star" like following, the Ricky Martin of boxing. Now hearing all the stuff he went through is heartbreaking to hear, being that young and famous must be extremely overwhelming and scary, I'm delighted to see him alive and telling his story 🎉

Oscar was my favourite fighter ever growing up, kinda like my hero ... I've ridden the roller-coaster of being a fan of Oscars. After watching this interview, I'm even more of a fan. This version of public honesty makes him even more genuine. No one is a golden boy, but this is as close to providing a good example of what a golden boy is (being a thousand percent honest) . Genuinely proud of you Oscar. You're once again my hero.
Oscar de la Hoya lost his mom from cancer when he was young. I don't listen to nobody's accusations or jokes about Oscar de la Hoya. This man is a real champion.🏆👑

Not what I expected for the rep this guy gets. I’ll have to check this out. Beautiful thing for someone to embrace their mistakes and struggles and joust shove it in the face of the people that pretend like they’re not human and don’t make mistakes.
Oscar's answer to Ariel's final question.. "are you sober now?" Was a bummer. I felt like it's someone saying "I don't have a problem, I can quit any time I want" like it was the fault of others. As very much not an Oscar fan it is impossible to not respect him in this interview. I grew up watching this dude and just wasn’t a fan because it all felt fake and media driven. Always respected the skill but didn’t respect the man. That changed today. Kudos to you champ and I hope you get all your flowers while you’re here

I haven't seen the documentary yet but for Oscar to own his mistakes openly, no excuses is HUGE. Good on him. I could tell he's still hitting the bottle probably more than he should based on his physique so hopefully that doesnt set back his personal work. You realized he just told a bold face lie in this interview that is easily refutable? He said his paternal grandpa ran with Pancho Villa, but his paternal grandpa was a young boxer in the 40s, and Pancho Villa died in 1923, so that is 100% a lie. He probably lied about a lot of stuff in this interview that we have no way of verifying if he was wiling to lie about something so stupid.
Loved watching him fight.. looking forward to watching the documentary..
