That's what I didn't like of the anime They took away all his childish traits to make it look like some emotionless guy when he was actually a 15 very brat boy

@@mayaanimay yeah, I don't know what they were pretending. To show how Dazai was in the mafia?? Cool buddy, we all know Dazai was more fucked up in the mafia which makes sense considering his mental health and the place where he was, but that doesn't mean you're gonna take his entire personality to make him look like a robot who doesn't bat an eye at nothing. He was still childish even if the mafia, even in dark era when he was already 18, it was just that he was like that with his closed ones. The people under him in range, like his subordinates, wouldn't obviously see him like that, or people he's not familiarized with Not to mention that in fifteen he was literally 15, like he was still a boy so it's just so normal that he was more bratty back then. But NOO, let's make him an emotionless dude even if he's still 15 yrs old and even if his personality it's still silly and childish at his 22

Like, in fifteen when Dazai and Mori are talking Dazai acts dramatic and bratty expressing that he just "wants to die!!", Yet, in the anime there's... Nothing. Or when he meets Chuuya, for God's sake, he literally teases him from the very start, but in the anime when Chuuya steps on him he is, yet again, emotionless. At least they made him more bratty at the end, but the point still stands

Oh, I forgot, but I think that when Dazai first meets Chuuya, Chuuya actually hurts him (when he's stepping on him) and Dazai makes a face of it, but in the anime nothing happens, like if Chuuya it's not stepping him in the first place and applying pression I think it's like that I don't rlly remember, I would've talk about dark era but I haven't fully read that one yet, but I've seen parts of ir

He was super bratty in the stageplay, but I guess since the original artists of Bungo stray dogs had part in developing this anime, we must respect them 😭
