Holy shit why do I love this dialect?

I remember my first word i learned was "Honma" because my classmates said it SO often when speaking to eachother or when surprised

is なんで really only Osaka dialect? I think I see it a lot in Anime too, and videogames. Although lots of videogames are produced in Osaka now that I think about it

The difference between the Osaka dialect and standard Japanese for "なんで" is intonation. The word "なんで" is used throughout the country, but in Osaka, the intonation is unique. And the intonation of the Kansai dialect is sometimes difficult for Japanese people from other regions to imitate. (^-^)

I hear ''meccha'' used in normal Japanese speaking especially in anime very often. Why is that? Is that effect of dialect or just different reasons?
