@@B1B2TVPH one thing I don’t get is that why couldn’t she just tell him that his wife used her to portray his daughter and his son killed her. I mean yeah she found the little girl’s picture first but the mom knew about it later. I know that she did care for him and maybe she could have a change of heart. The mom and the boy made her look like a saint but that is just me

@@briannarodriguez9719 It was because Esther is afraid to be sent back to Saarne Institute. Remember when she had a confrontation with Gunner? She threatened him to tell everything to the police, but Gunner retorted by saying who would believe a psychotic dwarf killer? One call from him and she will be sent back to the mental institution. If given enough time, she would have find a way to kill Tricia and Gunner making it look like an accident or something, but she did not have the time, and so they tried to kill her but they backfired and it costed their lives. She did love Allen, and it was obvious when she pushed him off the roof and tried to grab him to save him but it was all too late. There was sadness on her face as she gazes down his corpse. 😥

Tricia could very well deviced an explanation and tell him Esther was a serial killer escaped from a mental institute and was suffering from dwarftism. He would believe his wife.

A 3rd film is currently in development with Isabelle Fuhrman set to reprise her role as Esther. It’s unclear if it will be a direct sequel after the 1st film or another prequel. But, if it does become a sequel, they might end up making the alternate ending of the 1st film canon instead of the theatrical version.

I love how the mother will go to any lengths to protect her son but doesn't care about her daughter that he killed

Her walking through the fire so gracefully, she almost reminded me of little girl Alma from F.E.A.R.

The song in the car seriously fits Esther/Leena perfectly 👌

I think also the producers said this is not her final form of “child” makeup for Esther. She really only does physical changes in the house but after this film.. before the original and the orphanage, she was able to learn how to change her appearance better. I love that detail since the actress is a lot closer to Leena’s true age… makes sense since it’s her first time impersonating a child.

In fact she learns makeup so well she can easily change from child to a young woman in the first movie. I loved that part. Then she wipes it all away and you see her true age somewhat… crazy effects.
