This one is historically bad. Apparently, it ties in with the games. They really didn't make the franchise more likable, though.

Fax this shows plot and storyline is absolutely trash and the ending is utterly disgusting
i remember this one, sadly there isn't a season two mostly cuz it was promotion anime for their video game, which is available only in japan iirc, but yeh for the happy ending they both survive(and the green haired lady too) with their memories gone
Im gonna have to say the ending absolutely killed the anime for me. How did they think that ending was going to leave people wanting more xd.

Exactly. Endings make or break stories, no matter the type of story. The audience is to sympathize with protagonists, to make them feel things, and is encouraged to put themselves in the shoes of protagonists. The audience gets heavily invested this way... And then to kill off the protagonists in the end...?! What's the point of the story? Such stories effectively betray the emotions of the audience. It's like stories where the whole thing is a dream or everyone's memory is wiped. Why even bother watching? Glad I watched this recap instead of wasting my time watching the series!

For sure bro I stayed up the whole night to watch it like a year ago, and I was having a good time and then the ending just ruined it I was so sad I stayed up for such a shit ending
