A reunião e a melodia me parece lindas, todavia, não entendo, ainda, nada.

They are more liberal than most. Definitely not Orthodox. Because of the intensity of suffering in Eastern Europe, many Ashkenazic Jews are wounded to the core. There is an anger at a G-d of Justice who holds commandments between Man and G-d sacrosanct. They cannot relate to that G-d. So they put a greater emphasis on inter-personal kindness as a salve to a deep wound.

No they won't. Too much Eastern European Jewish suffering in the last 500 years. There is a hatred for G-d or a conclusion about His irrelevance deeply ingrained into the psyches of descendants of Eastern European pogroms and attempted genocides. In short, some will repent. The bulk of Eastern European Ashkenazic Jews carry way too much trauma in their Collective soul.
@dovbarleib3256

The only way this will heal will be if G-d Himself comes down to earth as a Loving Father and amphropormorphically hugs the descendants of those tortured Jews at the expense of the descendants of untold generations of Christian and Atheist tormentors. The damage of that pain is simply too great to heal in other ways. Notice that even in this song the emphasis is on how people should treat each other. Loving G-d does not even receive an honorable mention.

@@dovbarleib3256 if you cannot love someone that you see..how can you love someone that you don't see? how can you love your creator but not love your brothers and sisters? The song is about choosing to obey the law of the creator..how is this song not about honoring him? The trauma is in the human dna..not only in the jewish dna. The god is the god of all, not only of the few..no one is or will ever be excluded from his love..Only in the human mind..
