I returned in 2022 to film the other lift here on the Outer Platform. Filming the lift is a perfect way to pass time whilst waiting for the train to arrive! This lift is also an Orona Hydraulic. In this video I take a long look at the lift including full round trips and showing where the motor room is located! This lift is very similar to the other lift here but it also has a voice which makes it more interesting!
I haven't ridden in too many Orona lifts so this is the first time that I have heard the Orona voice announce "basement" (although the floor is labelled as -1 on the button and indicator). Strangely enough I rode another Orona lift recently in a building which does have a basement floor but in that lift the Orona voice announces it as "lower floor". That video is coming up soon!
Back to this lift, it serves -1 (Outer Platform Level) and 0 (Ticket Hall and exit). It is nice and smooth although it does take a while to start up as can be seen on many hydraulic lifts. It is very quiet. Despite 2 years passing since I filmed the other lift here, this is still the only place I have been that has hydraulic lifts installed by Orona.
There are not many lifts on the Glasgow Subway due to space constraints. The only other station which has lifts is St Enoch. This has 3 Kleemann lifts (1 for Outer Platform to ticket hall, 1 for Inner Platform to ticket hall and 1 from ticket hall to exit) Check out my videos of these lifts!

I prefer the Orona lifts at Govan in comparison to the Kleemann lifts at St Enoch. This is because they are smoother and more efficient, although the Kleemanns do sound great!
