Ormond Beach Surf Fishing | Halifax River - Granada Pier Fishing

We did some fishing from Ormond Beach and the Granada Pier while on vacation. We caught some Whiting, Pompano, and Mangrove Snapper as well as a Blacktip shark.
It's always fun saltwater fishing because you don't know what you might bring in!

Nice Video! Love surf fishing. Well, fishing salt water in general. Whiting are fantastic to eat... better than the Pompano in my opinion!

Kinda how I fish here in Ormond as well. Same species pretty much. Couple flounder here and there too.

Do you catch flounder from the pier or the beach?

@@hamptonshangout I usually jig for flounder under the bridge in Flagler or the beach here in Ormond.

We were using sand fleas for pompano and whiting, live shrimp for mangrove snapper, and caught the shark on frozen mullet.
PSA Never swim in the Halifax river.
