The amount of artistic character in this video is wonderful. The popping colour, the awkward, unusual funk between you two bopping up and down, in such a pleasant yet idiosyncratic environment - I love it all!

One of my favourite songs I heard last year. Takes me away to a different place. Love the whole album too. It brought a lot of hope to me after a very difficult time. Knowing the theme of many of the songs really motivated me to cherish the connection of having a new baby.

Can’t help but feel the freedom in your music. Always look forward to the whole package. Every detail carefully crafted. Keep going bud. It’s a joy to behold.

That guitar riff and outro is stunning.

I immediately thought of Orfordness, Aldeburgh, Thorpeness and Dungeness. Some of my favourite places in Britain. Nice wee poem!

Quirky can be taken so many ways ... hmmm ... thanks very much ... Not wanting to be a pedant and maybe because if you can find them they're worth the bus fare ... The stones are in Denge and are in fact accoustic mirrors and the fore runner of radar.

Well my quirky was meant with the utmost respect. To me it means something different, a breath of fresh air. I would say the same about Julian Cope who has also always had a love of the natural landscape and produced songs that I would call quirky. Thanks for the heads up about the stones. Thank you ! I made this with Rik Burnell who directed Big Skies ...it's definitely collaborative up to a point... And then in a grand gesture of faith I hand over the control. These are the colours that I've used on the artwork for the record and I want there to a consistency across as much of the visual aspect of things as possible.

One last thing Orlando: the stones in Denge look great that you have used in your video. I live close to Banbury and recently discovered The Rollright Stones just outside of Hook Norton. If you are ever passing that area you should definitely check them out....

Really enjoyed that last few songs you have put out man and love the video. When you were writing this song what were its original origins like did you start with a writing with a particular instrument or beat and build around it, also did it come out in order of the final composition or did its start with say the whistle bit and then moved around that? Love watching videos on peoples creative process if you can ever be arsed. Stephen

Thank you ! There is a lot of mention of skies in the record ... maybe too many ... I think its a symptom of being in doors looking out the window for the best part of 18 months. Best sky - see the cover of WOOLGATHERING by Patti Smith

Yes ... everything moves quicker ... decisions aren't better or worse but they are made quicker and I think feel clearer.
